Can I have a response to this concern of mine? I'll really appreciate. Thanks.

Just keep calm; it is called the waiting game for a reason at least in my own words.
But have no doubt your grant is near. Nigerian applicants get finalized results within a range of 54-120 days.However if you have done the needful and your application takes beyond 120 days,you may give them a call but expect the usual response.

It is an undeniable logic that regardless of how easier or interactive you make the user interface of this forum or a newer one; peeps who lack the motivation or are lazy would still fall short.
I searched for Australia PR inquiries on the web and nairaland happens to be among the first search returns I get along side expat forum.
It is purposeful to mention that I started this SC189 parol late 2012 but after skills assessment I pulled out because I didn't want to leave my comfort zone and scared of investing so much in it, until recently when naira value has dropped considerably.
My point being our passion and strong will would be key in achieving our goal, regardless of the info constraints as such I support the idea of keeping both the regular forum in addition to the new site.

Good morning all. Been a long while on this thread..I must say well done to all the contributors. I just felt I should add that completion of a Degree is a prequiste for CPA assessment. I agree that ACCA meets the competency requirement and they can take ACCA membership (not affiliate) as degree meaning your work experience counts from when you became a member in the absence of a Degree.

So my suggestion is give them the two if what u completed in 2012 is ACCA exams and not membership conversion.

toslad:
Good day FCCA2012,

Praiseisgood advised that you assess your ACCA and not your BSc. (I do not know much about this). If you are successful with this option, you get 5 years post qualification - depending on the month which gives you 10 points else you get 5 points if you assess your BSc. Please go through the first page thoroughly to get your 'potential' score.

As per phone interview with applicants or employers, I think not.

Bimsy99 well done there.
Family and friends please oh coman put mind and mouth for my matter oh...
I dey jejely wait for AHPRA oh, but the fear of leaving my family for three months program dey make me shudder with fear and concern.
My kids are 3 and 1( to leave them off my nostril to whosoever), no fear envisaged with my upman though, except he might not exert caution in some areas ( driving, travelling let).
From the handwriting that I'm reading on the wall now, my guide might advice I take up 457, which I've been counseled against in this house.
Now, if I go for this exorbitant bridging program and see beautiful and comfy environment, humanly speaking it may be difficult for me to wanna go back to naija to commence assessment. ...and getting grant after the said program too I don't know how soon.
I want to know if it's possible to get like 3 months job to keep me busy after the program to gather "dough" and help the man in naija through the process, or I should look for something I can get assessed for on 190 or 489 while I keep at my ahpra procedure and transit to nursing later when I get there.
This write up may be jumbled ohhhh....but I know most people can grasp what I'm trying to say.
Your counsel and contributions will be much appreciated.

good day all
please is it possible to accredit an accounting degree and work experience any professional Certificate..ie (ICAN or ACCA).
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by praiseisgood: 11:03am On Aug 16, 2017
@FCCA2012,

Bimpsy99 is very much correct. It is advisable you submit all you have.

I submitted my B.Sc in a non relevant field, my ICAN and my MBA with CPA.

My B.Sc was assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree
My ASSSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP Qualification from ICAN was assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor Degree
My MBA was assessed as comparable to Australian Masters Degree.

I believe the above can provide a guide for you and others seeking clarification on professional qualification.

Please note that my ICAN was from Foundation. Hence it covers all the competencies.

We share similar concerns on the subject matter...
Sustainability...
So, while I agree with Alphador's idea of making life easy for current and prospective my grants;
I fear the issue of sustainability would suppress the many benefits of actualising such idea.

Alphador, I think we should go with the option suggested by Bellong; run both platforms and see how things turn out.
Bnimz:
The Nairaland forum should be maintained though.. A new site won't be as popular as Nairaland... Plus this forum has helped a lot of lives.. A new site can be created but this one needs to remain as well .... Just my opinion

All concerns are noted with sustainability being the bane of concern here.

Yes, a lot of people have come and gone.
bellong's dedication is on a wavy level, I salute you boss.

I also strongly agree that the thread must remain, who knows if the site will work out as intended as but as a community we can make it work. Surely it will take a while before the site gains traction.

I know how people can react to change but change is a constant thing.

@bnimz @bellong @catchdwind4rmkd @azy123 @mamajaz @nnbb2012 @michaelamo @uchenna2012 @ozymigrant @teewhysafe.

@everyone

I need your support as a to drive this alternative

I will like to go ahead and work with people who are interested in setting up the modalities.

Does anyone have a suggestion for the site name :

Ok. I have not seen ACS equate CpmTIA A+ to Diploma. Therefore, You need the RPL to be to maximize your point for experience. And dont forget to use experince prior to your Bsc. so ACS can have 6 years to deduct.

Thanks Azy.
Please one more thing I don't have pay slips. I've always been paid via bank account.
For my experience while in school I have offer letter but can't get reference letters.
Please how do I go about this.

praiseisgood and others thanks!

I will be submitting all my qualifications for full skills assessment. I intend applying for 'General Accountant(GA)' what do you advice ?

My employer is willing to give me an employment letter from any accounting related role -should I stick to GA or mgt acctg or others ?

In addition, my employer has advised me to draft the letter for him to sign- my question is how do I write a detailed Job description? PLEASE, can you provide me a sample OR advise me on what to include or exclude ?

Lastly, what's the duration it took either ICAA or CPA for Full skills assessments?

You are a nurse ma, there is absolutely no doubt that you will get a job to do in the Aged/disability care sector with great ease even during the bridging program... Fear not.

@Mamajaz,

When you talked about 457, you didn't put a context to it. In your case, if an employer is willing to sponsor you on 457, take it. It will give you opportunity to complete your processing while still earning income.

@Alphadoor,

Try journeyman.... cheesy

Hmmmmmm....okay sir. I was thinking it's not possible to process PR while on 457 and that age point would have dropped by the time one has completed the terms and time of the said visa.

You can do the processing. Once you get the PR, you switch visa.

Just basic computer knowledge.

Please someone should help out here
How much is assessment fee for VETASSESS, I'm a little confused from what's online:
online application $880
priority processing fee $600.

Does it mean I'll be paying at total of $1480 or what?

You pay for 'Priority Processing' in addition to the 'Online application' fee (which sums up to $1480) if you want your assessment completed within 10days and it's optional.

However, if you want to wait the regular 10-12 weeks for your assessment outcome, you pay just $880.

You can process 189 while on 457, and then switch to PR when you get grant.
