I'm all for restructuring. The structure is parasitic and doesn't ensure equity |

Ogonimilitant:Some people are bad negotiators and that's why their lives are stagnant. Who names their last price in a negotiation? There is always room for haggling. Kanu asks for secession. Others ask for restructuring. FG (the North) make their own request. Then everyone reaches a compromise. Policemen will ask for N20k bribe. A motorist begs them with N2k. At the end, the egunje masters take N5k. A policeman holding a motorist with gragra for N20k knows that he ain't getting N20k but he has mastered the art of negotiating with drivers. How is the above scenario different from what Kanu is doing? He may not get secession but that is a discomforting extreme to start negotiating with the Nigerian state. / |

Moorish:If you're smart enough you can. If this is your idea of industrialization then perhaps we should start with steam engines, so that we follow the whole gamut of the growth narrative. No need reinventing the wheel, is there? Meanwhile we're not talking harnessing fossil fuel for industrial growth; the whole discussion is monetizing crude for financing of opulent and decadent lifestyles of politicians, militants, activists and their cronies. Else what's the 13 percent derivative done for the ND besides enriching their leaders? |

...and we think restructuring will expunge the corrupt, greedy and selfish tendencies in each and everyone of us Nigerians. Nigerians better be careful and works toward a better Nigeria, rather than being hoodwinked and sent from frying pan to naked fire in this restructuring and Biafra nonsense. If we all exert our energies (as we do in asking for restructuring) in making Nigeria a better home, Nigeria would of course be great. I keep saying, until we understand that Nigeria's problem is not Nigeria but the people. |

ExInferis:Bro, fossil based energy is still cheaper and more efficient than renewables. That is why I think we should harness what we have for now Just like the Alternating current vs direct current war between Tesla and faraday. Direct current is safer and modern but alternating current won because of price and efficiency. I do agree we should adopt cleaner systems but we have to harness our fossil base first. Europe did it, America and Asia did it, and they reaped the benefits. Why shouldn't we ? Must we suffer? |

Why isn't the north represented in the discussants? I thiink it's wrong to imply that the north doesn't want restructuring. Playing the victim card never yeilds positive results. I think proper orientation can help further the cause. I believe that the true resistors are the elite who benefit from this present systeM, not "the north". I stand by true federalism |

maxiflexy:The north obviously have a hidden agenda they are trying hard to pursue which was majorly why buhari was foisted on nigeria to implement the uthman Dan fodio command to islamize the whole south and deep the Quran in the seas of the niger delta that is the main reason they don't want restructuring or disintegration. |

Koolking:Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and again and expecting a different result. We have practiced this current system long enough to see that it is not working. We have seen transformation regime, CHANGE regime and they are nothing but beautiful nonsense. The probability of getting Nigeria of our dreams even in a restructured or regionalized system is still not higher than 25% because blacks over and over again have shown they lack capacity to solve problems. But then even a 5% progress will be better than what we have now. At least there would be no cry of marginalization and seccession because power will be to the people. So restructuring remains the only way to salvage this country |

In short, what the koko of the restructuring is bring more money from the northern share and join it to the southern share. The restructuring add no value to the country. |

The Anambra state group of lawyers asking for arrest of Nnamdi Kanu even petitioned Europeans who own English language to interpret the word "boycott" to mean "interrupt." Hungry bunch of Lawyers bought with Anambra state's money. Lawyers that petitioned the UN, EU, Nigerian government etc, to come and arrest their brother working for their emancipation in Nigeria. |

This country we dont have sensible leaders that can make things happen. In this present arrangement, a real governor would excel. We need sensible governors that would face other areas to generate money. Agriculture is one way. We will remember baba awolowo forever. |

gberra:The probability of killing corruption in our system today is too low. Even if we assume that this regime will try to kill it, what is the assurance that the next regime will not encourage it and we go back to square 1? We need to change the system in such a way that makes corruption difficult to happen in the first place instead of chasing them when the deed is done. We need a Nigeria where even if the Niger delta militants blow up all pipelines, the man in ogun, Kano or Enugu will not feel the impact much because they do not depend on oil. We need a Nigeria where the fund to fight boko haram will come from their region and will not be from the entire country so that if they spend 70% of what they earn to fight boko haram alone even boko haram will get sense and stop the nonsense. In fact, we need a Nigeria where each region will be responsible for thier development and not wait for one FG to do thier road then everyone senses will return |

nigeria really needs genuine restruturing, but the sad news is that the evil looters who prefer so much slush funds at the centre, that can be looted at will 're still in charge. they 're comfortable with their luxury life-style while the masses 're dying of starvations. verily verily i say unto you, unless our desperation over-whelms that of the looters, there shall never be restructuring. |
