Markfemi2:Its not that Yoruba isn't aware of the benefits of a dissolved Nigeria, but that historically our civilization bequeathed to us a legacy of dimensional growth and expansion. Even when faced with the worst adversity we triumph. Dissolution of Nigeria and the resulting benefits pale in scale when compared with the challenges of Kiriji War for instance. We did not dissolve the Yoruba Commonwealth because of competition and today we see that we are better off for it. The Yoruba signature is that of a builder, the one who takes nothing and brings out of it something beautiful to behold, or who meets a dilapidated situation and invests in its improvement and rebrand. We are resilient and we are creators of urban civilization and order. We have vast investments in Nigeria, the challenge we face will wear down in the course of our resilient stay, and we shall triumph and return to the regional governance. |

Deomelo, Please review following for proper identification. I think this pic is Segun Awolowo, Head of Nigerian Export Commission Board. The occassion might have included Mr Olusuyi in company of Mr Awolowo, but the reporting has wrong picture. If this indeed is Mr Olusuyi then I might wonder if he is related with the Awolowos. ![]()
