Rapid Facilities Management,

Adewole is a “returnee” with 18 years experience in the UK Building Services and Facilities Management industry. Having spent his early career with Satchwell Control Systems (Schneider Group), he worked with the UK facilities management giant, Mitie Group in the 1990s before joining ABB Building Technologies in 2002 as Business Controller.

In January 2004 Mr. Aderogba was one of 20 senior executives involved in a management buy-out from ABB Group. As right-hand to the MD, he was instrumental in transforming the new company (Inviron Limited) from a struggling M&E installation business into one of the UK’s most admired Facilities Management companies. Inviron’s portfolio of contracts included Heathrow, Stansted & Manchester Airports, The Houses of Parliament, Airbus' factory in Bristol and more than 20 major shopping malls across the UK.

In February 2011 Inviron was acquired by Dutch Group - Imtech Plc ($4bn turnover) at which point Mr. Aderogba took the opportunity to return home to contribute his international experience to the Nigerian FM industry.

Capt. Mrs. Bolaji Agbelusi, is a well-trained pilot. Under Aero Contractors, she became the first female pilot in West Africa, to have had a flight with all-female crew, also commanded by Agbelusi. She started as a pilot with Aero Contractors, but is now with Caverton Helicopters. Bolaji has been described as smart, intelligent and stands for social justice, transformation and social development in our country.

While she was still with Aero Contractors, Agbelusi took command of the flight from Lagos at 11:55 hours and returned to Lagos, touching down at 14:28 hours to a grand reception, attended by Director General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Harold Demuren in Lagos. She is the 8th woman pilot produced in Nigeria, the 5th female captain in Nigeria aviation industry, and the first female pilot in Africa to fly an all female crew. She started nursing the ambition of flying at age seven. Married to an Anglican priest for over a decade, she still keeps her home while actively flying.

She joined Aero in 1998 as a second officer on the DHC-6n aircraft, and currently flies Bombardier Dash 8. Her Career began with her training at Versatile Aviation Inc, Ardmore , Oklahoma , USA in 1997.

On returning to Nigeria and joining AeroContractors, she was trained on the DeHaviland Twin-Otter, prior to upgrading to the Bombardier Dash 8. She was later upgraded to the position of Commander on the Dash 8.

While in Aero, she did her Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) in the United States; that is a prequalification before becoming a captain, and it costs a lot of money; between $5,000 and $10,000. Tokunbo Talabi is the President/CEO of Superflux International Limited

This guy is a silent Capo di tutt'i capi! cool His company makes chequebooks for almost all the banks in Nigeria. Their level of security & encryption is second to none. I profiled him earlier, as well. In fact, I still feel there is a lot to be written about him! wink

I agree with ModsWillKillNL yorubas do not need to leave nigeria if nigeria is properly restructured. western region was developing at her pace with international relation with other countries. But if not properly restructured then the best option is to pull out. Yoruba nation still have faction amongst them, what makes them united is because they are fighting for a common goal.

Yorubas play politics with a do or die attitude it has affected the mentality of illiterate people. When ijebus were controlling lagos politics in the first republic in other to silence them others came with a stereotype about ijebus, same applied to awolowo-akintola rivalry. When Ekiti was under ondo state controlling almost the ministries because they are well educated another stereotype was created. Ijeshas as business oriented people were doing well others came up with stereotypes to prevent them from dominating. Unfortunately this stereotypes still lingers among the illiterates in yoruba land.

Same politics is being played in Nigeria of today.

If you visit ondo state for example, we have ilajes, akokos, owos, ondo and akure , they have slightly different culture and intonation and the politics there is not easy.

Recent media fights between alake and awujale, ooni and oba of lagos is an indication that the homogeneity created by ajayi crowther is not yet 100%, although nollywood, cultural festivals, institutions, urbanisation effect, bible and quran translation are greatly driving the homogeneity agenda. e.g compare akoko of pre-akugba university to akoko of now, lagos urbanization, religious activities. you will notice the homogeneity. I pray Akeredolu completes the ilaje-lagos bridge

Ilorin's case is simple, visit ilorin and judge if they are not yorubas; university of ilroin, pentecostal christianity, their youths in search of greener pastures to lagos, nollywood and music industry, influx of other yorubas into ilorin has played a major role in shifting their culture slightly to the central yoruba culture.

MarkFemi, you are from akoko edo, how many people from your area believes they are wholly yorubas?

These cracks are not visible now but believe me it will be visible when power tossing comes into the equation.

But with the rate things are going and internet shaping things up give yorubas 40 years from now the homogeneity would have become 90%.

Pls get a book on Yoruba politics, pre,and post colonial era. It is available in OAU library.

Proper restructuring is the best option. Am not a yoruba man but i have stayed and learnt from various group in yoruba kingdom.

Fighting for an independent country is a long term goal not now!
