Two days ago i received an email from CIC saying, your immigrant visa appears to be ready, you need to send your passport within the next 15 days if not youwill have to reapply.

The issue is i moved to Switzerland a few months ago for work, so i have my work visa etc in the passport. Yesterday i flew to Nigeria for a 2 week break and wedding. If i send the passport off from Nigeria and i do not get it back in exactly 15 days i will not be able to return to Switzerland for work. Possibly get fired depending on how long it takes.

I would like an extension on when to deliver my passport so i can send it from Switzerland when i am back and at work, so even if it takes 3 weeks i will not have to worry.

Please has anyone ever asked for an extension and how did they do it, who so i contact etc.
If an extension is not possible what would be the best thing to do. thank you... please this is time sensitive as i have 13 days left but actually if i dont send it in 2 days i will almost certainly not be able to return to Switzerland.

I think you can reply that mail and cc the email of the visa office you were suppose to mail the passport to. Just state the situation and politely ask for an extension for the reason that you want to get back into Switzerland before sending it.
I am sure they will consider. After sending the mail, make sure to follow up with calls until you recieve an acknowledged or reply email.

Just request an extension in submission and tell them u have a travel to embark on and would need the passport.

Yea u can do it at Abuja but might take a few days to complete.
You don't have to go to Lagos, u can get someone to help u process it in lagos after sending your finger prints

Please answer "YES" to both. U can proactively complete and attach a schedule A form like some peeps here ve done previously cos they will most likely send ADR for it while processing ur app.

You'll choose Masters/professional degree.

To avoid "stories that touch" I advise that you will have to cut short your holidays and the plans to attend this wedding, get back to Switzerland as soon as possible and mail your passport from there to Ghana for stamping.You can always explain that you're currently in Switzerland.

Anyway have u done ECA with MCC?
I doubt u shld fill ur qualification if u don't have an ECA

THis is exactly what I will do anyway.
The wedding can't be two weeks can it? Attend d wedding... Reschedule ur flight and leave.. Den make it in time to submit ur passport. Except this isn't that important to u tho
