hello guys, i started the building of my 3 bedroom not too long ago and thought i shld share my experience, cost, process and progress with the house. The land is situated in (Igbesa) Ado-Odo ota local government, Ogun state. i have been able to achieve this through my experience on Nairaland, here are some pictures of the building so far.

someone gave me this quotations for lintel casting nd i think its way too much just to cast a 3 bedroom,
34 pieces of iron rod @ 1800=61200

binding wire=5000

squaring=5600

workmanship = 9500

carpenter =45

sand =27'

granite =27k

15bags of cements

labour 25k

total for lintel casting 233500k....

i think is way too much...
have gone through rhis thread and am sure u didnt spend this much on just lintel

Everything you have been quoted for seems to be in order unless you already have some of these material on site. If not, it is reasonably fair.

please do linter for only openings like say doors, windows, corridors and all necessary places ti cut cost. :


I DONT HAVE ANY MATERIALS ON GROUND NOW,WITH THIS ESTIMATES AND RECENT INCREASE IN CEMENT PRICE EVERYTHING TIRE ME,AM DOING THIS ON A LOW BUDGET,MONTHLY SALARY OF 30,JUST HAD TO SAY IT SO U KNOW WHY I HAD TO BRING THE ISSUE HERE FOR REVIEW...OVER 200K FOR LINTEL,HOW MUCH WE GO TAKE ROOF THE HOUSE THEN?
