Nigerians need to ubderstand that there is a difference between "my president is stupid" and "if the Igbos dont vote for my candidate, they will drown in the Lagoon"

There is a difference between "Buratai is an idiot and I hate his face" and "If any Yoruba man comes to your community asking about Radio Biafra, kill him"

There is a difference between "Kemi Adeosun is a massive failure, she even looks like a baboon" and "we give the Igbos 90 days to leave the north"

In each of the three instances, one is a commet by someone who is displeased with someone and is lashing out with insults and the the other is just hate. If we cannot see that then we can as well keep being idiots

next time try and put on your thinking cap before making a statement. Afonjas gave Jonathan about 43% of their votes. He even won in Ekiti state.
Basic statistics of percentage (ss1 level) you don't know. Yet you claim ti be educated. The reason the brown roof afonjas are much more intelligent than you is we don't vote based in ethnicity.
Jonathan had 6 good years and PDP had 16yrs to complete Lagos-Ibadan expressway yet it wasn't delivered.
Prior to the election PDP had the golden opportunity to tell us what they've done for us in the southwest but all we saw on TV was the campaign of calumny and mud slinging against Tinubu and Buhari. Prior to the hate campaigns by PDP I had friends and a relative (my dad) still sitting on the fence but after one of those episodes of the anti-tunubu programme my cousin said and I quote "PDP has nothing else to offer Nigeria". If PDP had told us it's plan for us instead of the pull him down campaign maybe buhari have lost 7% of his own 50+% to give Jonathan the majority in the south west.

Btw we've not forgotten PDP campaign lines like:
-Buhari only wants to islamise Nigeria (what PDP told southerners)
- APC will only wants to build churches all over the north. That's why a pastor is the vice president (what PDP told northerners)
-APC is amala and ewedu party (what PDP south east leaders told their people)
- The northerners are born throway people (what PEJ told people in calabar)

So tell me which of these lines is devoid of hate?

For those saying I'm lying about 43% for jona in the southwest

APC got 2.1m votes from the southwest will PDP got 1.8m votes.
1.8m/4m * 100 is 45%

I did the maths as far back as 2016
People forget so soon. We are not ppl who vote based on hatred or sentiments but on performance. I voted for Jonathan in 2011,he got there, surrounded himself with only igbos and south-souths, even Hausas where represented better than Yorubas in his regime, he developed nothing in the south-west. But we're smart people, we don't cry secession like helpless children who needs attention, we strategized politically and voted him out.

Mcowubaba:

Oga there is no difference in those statements undecided

What benchmark did you use to classify statements that are hate speeches and statements that are insults

You can't just choose the one that pleases you, hate is subjective NOT objective.
What maybe a hate speech to you, maybe regarded as a joke to other person undecided
And to the best of my knowledge, Nigeria constitution has not actually specified what statements are hate speeches.

Someone can call me "a big fool, and that tell me I'm worthless in life" , this will not move me, but I bet you, there are some people I will tell this exact words, and the will break down emotionally and regard this statement as being hateful
..
Bro, there is a clear difference between using abusive words and making hate speeches. To start with, abusive words aren't criminalised anywhere in the world, but hate speeches are.

1. Mr A is a kunu sipping idiotic dullardic bastard
2. Mr A is just a stinking pig, if he crosses my domain, I will strangle him to death.

Number 1 above is just an abusive statement. Yes it will hurt, but no law (except maybe religious doctrines) will punish or caution you for that. But when you cross into Number 2, you have simply crossed the line of the law.

What exactly makes him unworthy of being a moderator?... His simple explanation of hate speech?

Just because this current administration is failing in the midst of dwindling resources doesnt make the man that failed in the midst of plenty better. If Jonathan was still in charge things would have been much worse but then some groups of morons with selective amnesia are making this fool appear like a hero.

Jonathan we are not all dumb. We've not forgotten how you dated newspaper depots just because the news didnt favour you. We've not forgotten how a sitting governor in rivers state was placed on house arrest when your visiting wife blocked even the road leading to the government house. We've not forgotten how your wife made rivers state hell for the sitting Governor. We've not forgotten how you froze the account of Adamawa state after the Governor decamped to APC and you went after him with EFCC.

We've not forgotten how a sitting speaker was locked out of the NASS just because he decamped to the opposition party. We remember how he had to jump the gate against while daring the NPF under Jonathan to shoot him

Yes Buhari is failing in the midst of scarce resources but he doesn't even have half of what you had in resources.

Is this enough for ex-President Goodluck Jonathan to praise himself?

Gej did not use the tools of governance well, it was under his administration that mind-boggling amounts of money were stolen by his lieutenants.

“I don’t know what kind of freedom he was talking about; maybe the freedom to steal, the freedom to violate people’s rights with impunity, maybe the type he gave his lieutenants to help themselves to the nation’s coffers. However, most of the masses at the receiving end of such freedom to steal by his cohorts are the ones that felt the pain, and voted him out " someone said.

What concerns me is that Nigeria should break. up If we are not ready to break up let those who have looted the country dry return the loots. Shekana.

The government of the day used hate speech to ascend and don't want to be brought down by the same hate speech.By the way, if you were told that rats chased your president out of the office, won't you take that as a hate speech?
You know the difference between just speaking hate against the president and speaking things that will disintegrate the country? The kind of insults Buhari has taken before and since he became president is not different from that of Jonathan, it can even be more... But hates that leads to war and disintegrates the nation to anarchy must be checked. You can call Buhari any name, but when you treathen the sovereignty of the nation like calling Nigeria a zoo or incite violence against Nigerians or any tribe, you deserve to be locked up for life and the key thrown away.

Nice one bro. I remember back during election year, I knew both parties were bad but we had to choose the lesser evil. I remember when Boko Haramm seized a particular town for days killing hundreds and our President was in France, paying condolence to terrorist victims, he came back and said nothing about the incident for weeks campaigning around the country while people are slain, I remember his election campaign, no ideology or plan, he only attacked Buhari's image and Tinubu's. I was no fan of Buhari after his hate speech ' The baboon and the dogs blood would litter the streets' but it was obvious GEJ had no clue what he was doing apart from loot and justify stealing. It was after those pointless campaign I told my friends in school to vote APC and yes I campaigned Pro-Buhari. Not because I wanted him there but because we would collapse soon either when Boko Haram seize southern territories or the economy gets sucked dry by him, his wife and his 2 girlfriends (Diezani and Stella). Boko Haram no longer attack FTC or threaten Lagos, I was scared then because I had friends in Abj and anytime a bomb goes off I always call my girlfriend to know she was alive. GEJ is a colossal failure, he should be in court for the atrocities he did but he's hailed a hero of democracy. PMB wasn't the best Person to lead then, heck he was our only option, but he was our only way out of GEJ stupidity

Except Boko Haram hasn't been defeated.
I will say there is a pattern to their attacks
See how they stepped it up when osinbajo was AP
Meanwhile there was a drastic reduction when Buhari was hail and hearty

I think the political machinery in the north are somehow responsible for this scourge
If someone who is not their own is in power, all hell is broken loose.

Does that not make you feel a wee bit silly now,,once a person does not support your ideology you result to tribal bigotry, population do not amount to prosperity ie India
Just cos people travel to your town and cities for one Biz or the other does not amount to development ie China.
The igbos I suppose are Business People and that involve moving of people, goods and service from A to B,even as destroyed as Iraq looks, there are people still doing Biz there.
Still your argument has brought nothing to the table rather that of a Ranting KID, when will the likes of you in the west realize there are more than hausa and Igbo and Yoruba in Nigeria do we need to mine yah skull to implant that knowledge or you are just politely DUMB~?
