cstr1000:My recent opinion about how the cattle rearer has conducted our affairs is well known. His bigotry, selectiveness, dishonesty and incompetence cannot be defended by any right thinking individual. My quarrel is just when people now try to make a case for the fisherman, who remains an embodiment of disaster unparralled. Malami is just the face of Buhari's bigotry and biased way of prosecuting justice,i don't have any argument about that. 3 Likes |

[quote author=Ohammadike post=59846707] Parts of the statement read, “It has just been brought to my notice that the Attorney General of the Federation has approached the courts to incarcerate Nnamdi Kalu for flouting his bail conditions. “I am amazed that the distinguished attorney is prepared to contest the superiority of the provisions of the constitution on fundamental human rights of freedom of movement and freedom of association over an erroneous judicial proclamation violating those rights. “I am equally miffed by the audacity with which the Attorney General displays his bias without regard to his oath of office. Our judiciary needs restructuring.. 7 Likes |

The Federal Government is on a high speed recruitment program for Kanu. And this mistake is going to be more suicidal than the initial stupidity in arresting the guy in the first place. Majority of the young educated Igbos are yet to buy into Kanu's Movement. Most of them are still observing the situation. I can bet my money that arresting Kanu again will simply lead to proliferation of the Biafran agitation, and this time, by more educated, creative, imaginative and strategic Igbo youths. Are there no intelligent people around this Government to advise it that dialogue is a potent tool of social engineering? Are there no patriotic elder statesmen and women to talk sense into the Federal Government that this same strategy led to the radicalization of Boko Haram? Can't we learn from History? Why has Military mentality refused to leave us even after 18 years of democratic practice? Why are we stupidly fixated on the use of force to solve all social problems? See, the 1967 theatre of war is not the same with that of today. Anyone thinking that the Biafran question can be subjected to Battle Field Test again does not love the whole Black Race. Because the result will be better imagined! Dialogue is the game! Say no to War! 9 Likes |

lexy2014: In the first instance, asking for self determination is within his right and so doesn't amount to crime to warrant arrest. But he was arrested, not because he committed any crime, just out of hatred for his people and his audacity to dare the Government asking for the freedom of his people. As if the injustice was not enough, the court slammed him with outrageous bail conditions that further infringed on his fundamental human rights and you expect him to not to renege. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Kanu will be re arrested for flouting bail conditions. You ipods should stop trying to play smart and saying the Arewa youths should be arrested as well. kanu started the hate speeches and has never withdrawn any of his threats and hate speeches. He was granted bail because he lied that he needed medical attention and this was granted with conditions. He has still been going about instigating hate and inciting ipods against other tribes. Kanu will be re arrested for flouting bail conditions and will go continue with his case. The ipods can do whatever they like and the NA will be waiting to curb their madness. As it stands, the Arewa youths only said igbos should leave their land. they never mentioned that they will kill igbos if the refused to live the north. Yes it was a threat but a threat that wasn't fully spelt out, yet the have openly withdrawn the threat. has Kanu and his gullible ipods withdrawn or stopped their hate speeches? Somebody threatened you, you complained, the person withdrew the threat for peace sake, yet you still rejected the withdrawal..i don't even know how rejecting a withdrawal of threat makes any sense. The igbos in the north did not reject the threat, it is the criminal, jobless pigs in the village that are rejecting it as if they have businesses or money to give the igbos they are rejecting threat for on their behalf. kanu is going back to jail to continue his case. The court never said he was free of charges against him. He should have been going for his medicals as he claimed instead of jumping up and down causing unnecessary problems and threatening that there will be no elections. you can imagine someone that should be in jail dishing out threats left , right and centre. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Excellentmind: Telling people to donate money to buy weapons to fight against Nigeria is not a crime? Telling igbos to kill any yoruber or hausa asking about biafra is not a crime. telling igbo youths to attack yoruber pastors that come for crusades in the east is not a crime? When the FG is ready, they will pick him up like a common criminal that he is and he will be locked up. you ipods will make noise for one week and go back to your business. 1 Like 1 Share |

Wallade: You do not have to be a constitutional lawyer or scholar to know that you have certain inalienable rights. They are called fundamental human rights. If you have been cowed to relinquish yours, then you might not see the point in kanu's actions. Neither Buhari nor Nigeria constitution gave him those rights and they cannot take away same from him. 1 Like |
