Oh ye diligent fellows who don't want officers to chop your 1kobo, yes oo online processing is nice and cool But ensure that you don't need your passport urgently, because rain will come and go, dry season will also come and go before you finally get hold of your passport. Paddy if you can afford those officer's miscellaneous, just go thru them, u will get your passport that same day sef.

Hello house I have 2 questions.

1. I have never applied for a passport before, I got married and did a change of name, both my surname (for marital reasons) and my first name, I have the affidavit and news paper stuff. Now I want to apply for a passport with my new names, My birth cert contains my old first name do I need to go with the affidavit, I intend getting the cert of origin soon so I will do that with my new names. Hope I won't have any issue.
I did for my mum last year at festac and they required the state of origin and birth cert that's why I am asking.


2. My hubby had the old Nigerian passport issued in 2005 before the e-passport came out, it expired in 2010 he wants to apply for another one but wants to rearrange his details his first name. since he didn't really do biomentrics then can he just apply newly or is the old passport data harmonized with this e-passport.

Pls don't mind my plenty questions too.

Go with all your documents as listed above,that's what they required. My wife just did hers last week at Ikoyi.

The old passport is not in their system any longer with the little knowledge i have. He should go as a new applicant cos Ecowas passport needs a new and entirely different registration.

She paid 50k last week but yet to come out. Although, she already gotten the e-passport before so she went for change of name. But on your case you will pay normal fee within 30k+

if you don't need the passport urgently then you can apply for it online otherwise go to a nearby immigration office and apply for your passport there, 64 pages will cost you 35k while 32 pages is 28-29k

just go to immigration office at federal Secretariat along fate rd Ilorin and nothing more,too easy no need of middleman.

sure, if the county is a visa free or visa on arrival but I think Ghana is a visa free for Nigerian passport holders. Kenya is visa on arrival while some east africa countries require visa before you travel
