nd this morning i noticed that there is still gear oil on the radiator water. Pls guys help me out.
use sugar and klin to flush it out

My 2002 c220 cdi (diesel) is hard starting and will not start unless prime, and when it starts, it stays on for like 30 secs and sometimes not up to that before it goes off again. Please what could be the problem here.

I am not conversant with diesel engine but when you say prime, i vision a pumping machine. I think where you have issues is the fuel delivery system. How to rectify it is what i cant say

I don't work on German diesels, but check the glow plugs, also ensure the overflow valve isn't bad. And as for the stalling again, check the diesel pump pressure.

I once have similar issue with my ford explorer jeep. Let me give u brief on how i tackle the issue, the alumumium that transport gear oil from your gear to the radiator and from the radiator is faulty. The aluminum is inside the radiator, once it got faulty, it mixes gear oil to water and this can cause great damages to your gear box cos you will be noticing oil in the gear mix with water soon.

SOLUTION

Get another radiator, as in get a complete radiator that have both rod still intact at the radiator to the gear. The rod i mean is the pipe that transport gear oil from gear to radiator and from radiator back to gear. Dont allow any mechanic loosen the nut seal use in sealed the rod to the radiator instead get a good panel beater to cut the rod that comes from your gear and weld it together with the rod that comes from the radiator cos if the rod from the radiator get loosen, it will spoil the aluminium that is inside the radiator and the problem will still persist.

Pls guys quick one. My dads 2004 e320,steering is hard to steer. The mechanic changed the steering pump up to five times but the problem persist. He Insisted that its d steering rack. How much is the steering rack and also how much is radiator. I dey suspect this mechanic. Thanks all.

Good afternoon all, pls I am a lady and I just got Mercedes Benz C180 2002 model elegance . The dashboard is in German language and so is the manual, plus cld anyone help me with the English version of this particular model and any other useful advise for a lady. Thank you all

I actually don't know their differences. But a 2000 or 2001 model will be fine.

Most likely a faulty pressure switch on the nozzle rail or failing nozzle, very common problem with CDI.
What do you prime with? I know you use an handkerchief soaked in petrol right?

Most Benz cars do have a steering box. I don't know about the 211 if damaged. . forget it a million oil pumps won't save you

You can change the language from the instrument cluster(dashboard)
*instruction.
make sure ur vehicle is not in motion

1.Turn the key to d 2nd position.
2.press any of the menu buttons on the left till u get to settings.(u will know when u get to d settings menu cos its different from other displays that will come up.
3. press d arrow up button till u get to d language menu.
4.use the volume down button to navigate till u get to English.
5.select English by clicking the down menu button.

Thanks. You might be right because the gas pedal sometimes doesn't respond no matter how hard you hit it. That was before it got to this Point.

Prime with petrol, yes, but without handkerchief.

Most likely you have one bad nozzle. If you loose another one won't start at all
