More than enough but Hausas exist in ALL of the Northern States save for Benue, Kogi and Kwara. So Sanchez01 is right for using the North to represent Hausa-Fulani just like the East is used to represent Igbo even though there are Igala and Idoma minorities there in border states.


What we want to know is how Igbos have 50million people when Nigeria's total population is 150million+ and Hausas+Yoruba have 100million+ combined while the South South has no less than 20million+.

Yes I do. For starters, they have densely populated States in the SW and NC including Lagos (where more than 60% of the population are Yorubas), Kogi, Kwara, etc. They also extend to Togo and Benin Republic.

Yorubas also have a strong diasporan presence across Nigeria, Europe and America.

We haven't even included runaway Yoruba tribes/enclaves in the SS such as Delta and Edo.

Yorubas just don't brag with their population. If a real census is done like, the margin of difference between Hausa and Yoruba populations won't be too far apart.

You lie for saying only Yorubas want restructuring. I'm from the SS and I can confidently tell you that most, if not all, the non-Igboid minorities want restructuring. It's only Igbos that want to leave this country.

Besides, don't be quick to undermine a region. Niger Republic is Hausa dominated and they are doing even much better than Nigeria. Why do you think the North won't do better independently too?

The SS want restructuring because they believe disintegration is impossible without war. If they were offered their own country, they would gladly take it.
The West can manage on their own with difficulty, because of what they have on ground, but not the north.
They will die of hunger, diseases etc. Do you know how much of our budget that goes to the north? billions!
Where are they gonna get the money? From selling tomatoes?
One more thing, Igbos may not be up to 50 million like the other guy said, but we're definitely more than the 30 million you wrote.
How can we be 30 million and yet we're the largest in every state apart from the indigenes?
And don't give me that bull about Igbos travelling a lot, others travel out too.

There are no Hausa indigenes or Hausa indigenous communities in Plateau, Taraba, Adamawa, Gombe, Borno, Yobe and Southern Kaduna. Hausas in these places are all settlers.

I am from the north. Take it from me. Igbos outnumber pure Hausas in population. The mistake many of you make is generalizing all northern states as Hausas simply because Hausa is a lingua franca.

There are only 5 states in the entire north where Hausas are overwhelming in population (Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara, Jigawa & Katsina). And even among these core Hausa states, there are still indigenous minority groups in Jigawa, Kano & Zamfara.

Kaduna & Kebbi have about 50% Hausa population each. While Hausas are minorities and non-indigenes in all other northern states.

So, TheArchangel is correct and Sanchez01 is wrong.

Are you trying to say that because Buhari was not voted en masse in the SE, that the region should be marginalised?

Is that how it's done in civilized countries?
Remember there are Igbos in APC too, and a good chunk of people in Imo state voted APC

Even at that, i believe that Buhari has the right to choose whoever he wants to work with, in situations where federal character will not be violated, but what no sane Nigerian should support is marginalization in the civil service, military or in Federal projects.

But unfortunately, without being politically correct, some people here are happy when the Igbos are marginalised in those aspects.
