Even ogbomosho republic is better than Enugu Odibo republic.

How much should I donate to your IDP camp? $1 Biafran currency?

In the city l grew up Warri, l attend a large church and there's a great network of many tribes, ljaw, itsekiri, Urhobo, lgbo, Yoruba, lsoko, few Hausas, etc. Every year there's what we call Cultural week where there are cultural displays and at least not less than 30 tribes from across the country are represented, it's a beauty to behold and we always look forward to that Week.
Sincerely if you grow up in my city(from my experience) l don't think you'll take a mental note of tribalism as a dominant factor, l kid you not nairaland exposed me to it first.
But l think this may be the case because Warri is no man's land, English and Pidgin is the dominant language because 3 tribes(Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw) can all lay claim to the city.
A lot of us grow up not even learning our language, just pidgin and English (which l don't think is a good thing though).

Notice how Yorubas have both moslems and christians and they live peacefully within the same tribe? I doubt if Igbos can do same. I know definitely Hausas can't.
You're badly mistaken. I and earlier generations of my family are devout Fulani Christians and have always lived peacefully with our Muslim brethren in the core North.

Ever heard of ECWA Hausa? Kungiyar Masihiawa (Association of Christian Fulani Youths)?

Apart from the Jos crisis around a decade ago (which was actually territorial not necessarily religious), which other attack do you know that has been targeted towards Northern christians?

There is a significant population of indigenous Hausa Fulani Christians in the core north that have lived peacefully with our Muslim neighbors for decades, it's sad but unsurprising that most Nigerians are oblivious of this fact.

You've not been following trends in the foreign scene. Interestingly, the US and other nations have been and are now intensifying campaigning for peaceful coexistence.
What is the 'inevitable' you are talking about?

I am a staunch believer that there are good and bad people in all ethnic groups and so l refrain from exhibiting bias because of the character of a few bad ones.. Here is my view on a few ethnic groups..

As an omoluabi Yoruba, l view Hausa people as.. Very open, hospitable, warm, extremely generous and unpretentious about their feelings towards you

The lgbos are very hardworking, enterprising, industrious and creative.. They also help each other and they never beg on the street..
Niger Deltans are very funny, unpretentious and very assertive.
All in all, Nigerians are great people
This is the only person i know that's not a tribalist on this forum.

I'm Enitan, a full blooded Yoruba girl. I love my life not because am perfect but because of people that surrounds me. My ex is Fulani by tribe and he is best person I've ever dated in my life, he his Lovely, humble and very caring. More so, currently am serving in Adamawa state, Hausa people have been so good to me since my stay in Yola, very friendly and accommodating not only to me but all corp members that are serving in Yola. The interesting aspect of it is that if you re corp members and you put on your shaki, they do give us whatever they can afford to give us for free, like meat, vegetables, etc. there was a day one gave me bag and shoes because it was my birthday and my Igbo friend gave me clothes. Also, I met a guy here on Nairaland some months ago, he is Emeka by name and he introduced me to a business which am earning some money from weekly. Yes, I love my life because Igbo is my brother, Hausa is my angel, Yoruba is my companion. Together we are big family thanks.

there is nothing like Yoruba Christian or Yoruba Muslim. WE ARE JUST YORUBA. We dont discriminate/stress that because siblings in Yoruba land can practice different religion and that won't stop them from loving and supporting one another.

I love igbo(s) for their inteligence and ingenuity.
But,they should stop thinking yoruba hate them or anti-biafra.Majority of yorubas want true federalism and independence but will not tolerate hate speeches directed to them like calling them zoos and calling the yoruba Christians pastors demons especially pastor Adeboye!..and the fact that yorubas voted buhari in 2016 and muslim among them follow sultan anouncement of moon citing doesn't mean they kiss their ass, infact that is the first time in history yorubas will vote massively for northerners. The same set of yoruba muslims voted massively for goodluck in 2011

No my friend, the moment was the 60's. The momemt has passed. But as a typical onye Igbo with the gift of looking ahead, I'd say what we Igbos should be worrying about
is what happens when Igbos own over 70% of Nigeria's private wealth, which is bound to happen. I'd say the more detribalised Naija is, the better for us

I love Yorubas the only problem I had with the was based on what people told me about them as it concerns trust. My parents thought me never to trust a yoruber man and grew up with that hatred. Having traveled about to about 28 states in Nigeria and seen on line how Igbo and Yorubas share hatred, one day I sat down with pen to write down where and where Yoruba man has offended me, but to be sincere I found little or non compared to what I have benefited from them. They are very good people though with little bad one.

From my observation, I found out that the hatred between Igbo and Yorubas is based on what our father told us.

I want to challenge every Igbo man and Yoruba man to take a pen to write down the bad Yoruba or Igbo have down to you personally not base what people told you, and believe me you will fine non.

I have learnt that most my brothers that hate the yorubas are people who never have in contact with them and still believe on what people told us.

I have also observed another problem. A Yoruba man loves his language that he uses it even in a public place which some time and Igbo man may think that they are been discussed

An Igbo man is very emotional and open that
I don't hate yorubas does not mean I trust them either. In several occasions they have left me in the cold when I needed them the most.

I lived in mushin and surulere Lagos for over 30 years and in odogbolu and mowe ogun state for over 5 years. I Know these guys. I was once a member of DEEPERLIFE church in Lagos and I discovered that even the Christians amongst them battle with their own subtle unreliable tendencies.

They are with you only when the going is good. But when challenges come, they deny you like peter denied Jesus. They are double faced BELIEVE ME. But like St Peter, it doesn't make them inherently evil.

I served in the East, Owerri to be precise. Owerri people are so detribalised. Sometimes I do have a hard time cross-referencing what I see here on NL with the love those people shown me over there. I miss all those Mama at Amakohia market, my favourite barbing place around that side too. I served around Egbeada estate and those peeps made me feel loved. The farther I have ever travelled in the Northern direction is Kogi, but I admire the simplicity of the life of a Hausa man.
I love the comment about writing down your own personal experiences with other tribes and not some generalized "regurgitated" missgivings, I did that and have little or nothing to document. Kudos OP for creating this thread.
