Edgal Imohinmi Replaces Fatai Owoseni As Lagos State Commissioner Of Police by faseblex(op): 2:54pm On Aug 30, 2017

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, has removed CP Fatai Owoseni as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police.

He has been replaced with Edgar Imohimi.

Imohimi was only promoted to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Police in June this year, while Chief Superintendents of Police Hope Okafor, Muyideen Obe, Bunmi Ogedengbe and Lawal Adebowale were promoted to Assistant Commissioners Police.

Earlier this month, he led the operation which saw the Baale of Ipakodo in Ikorodu, Lagos arrested following the gruesome murder of four family members at Ibeshe, Ikorodu.

The Command also uncovered a shrine and graves in the area, believed to be the domain of the dreaded Badoo cult group.

Imohimi will now take charge of the Lagos State Police Headquarters.[quote]

Senator Hamman Misau said that to be posted to Lagos as Commissioner of Police is N50m paid to the IGP while Rivers State is N25m.
He also said that he is aware as a former Police Officer that every posting is graded according to how lucrative the location is and you are expected to make returns monthly which runs into billions of Naira.

All the Police spokesman Jimoh Moshood could do was to accuse the Senator of being a wanted deserter from the Police, a job he left since 2010.
We are waiting to see what the APC Govt will do about the allegations he raised.
He also said that the National Assembly approprited funds for the purchase of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) for the Police but the IGP went and bought Toyota Hiluxes patrol vehicles for the cost of APCs.

Fatai did à good job during his rebute as the CP of Lagos state. Lagos state is the most difficult state in Nigeria to police. I hope the new man will keep à cool head to hit the ground running ASAP.
