Can you tell why your visa was refused.

I got my US visa a while back in the UK as a student. You can apply for that and it's even best to do so there. Please be sure to apply with your school letter and probably an invitation letter from someone you know. You need to have at least 6 months on your visa with a valid passport. Never apply too late like when you don't have enough time left in the UK (you might get refused).

Honestly i don't know anybody who has used notarized copy before, you can give it a go because you have a very good reason for that.

You could use your personal statement or that of a sponsor. They won't expect you to have a lot of cash in it since you're a student. Just make sure the statement shows you have enough cash for your return ticket, accommodation & other little expenses you will incure while in the US. It would be nice if the statement shows you'd still have a little money left when you're back in the UK because they don't expect you to spend all your savings on the trip

If you have a copy of the certificate that is fine. As the new system is actually to scan your documents at the VAC and they do not require the original one but the photocopy.

Don't panic madam, your son has extra two weeks grace to join the class. If he can't meet up Tuesday he should info the school of the delay and ask for latest date of resumption.

good evening i applied and had my biometrics on the 13th of july and havent received any update till now, 34 working days, i have called and emailed and they said its been escalated, worried is an understatement.. still hoping for the best, status hasnt changed on the ukvi link either.

[I'd advise you go to TLS and check. Some didn't get decision mails but found their passports there.

It was as a result of an error made by the ECO under section 245vz. The ECO misread my financial documents and stated that I do not have money available even when my documentation says otherwise

I did That already and my school said I should let them know if I need any help since it was an Eco error. Problem is I don't know if they srick to their 28 days timeline since it's a review and not an appeal.

Didn't you complete the 28days count? Or the money wasn't enough?

Has any one tried going to the TLS center without decision email or collection email to check for their passports? Thinking of doing that it's long over due

@RemMag.. That's an expensive error for an ECO to make. Something is wrong some where. Probably your 28days count wasn't complete before you printed out the statement of account or you did your online application during the 28 days count or maybe the required cash dropped during the 28 days count. That's all I can think of.

I was at Ikeja TLS yesterday without getting the mails. My son's biometrics was done on the 11th of July, the passport was not ready though. I think you should still go, I hear others have gone in the past without getting their mails and they collected their passports. All the very best

I don't think so....the date of application is taken to be the day you pay the fees associated with your application.... It's expected that you would have held the money for a 28day period by then. I think

TLS mail that decision has been made: Aug 25 8:27am

Ukvi website update : Aug 25 (app decided on Aug 22)
Standard app at Ikeja

I picked up my tier 4 visa today...
