Thanks for the educative and interesting threads. I always follow ur threads. There is an argument in one thread currently on,although it isnt ur thread but I want ur opinion. The thread is about crocodiles, alligators and monitors. The OP used google as evidence that alligators are only found in America and china in the whole world. I also confirmed it in google. But in reality,I found it to be a big lie!!! I stay in Benin city. There are lots of alligators in our local markets here which were never imported from America or China. I even went to various markets and took picture evidence. But some were still adamant all because '' google said no alligators in Africa''. Below are some of my pics. Please I want ur opinion. Thanks
Because the market women call it alligators doesn't make it alligators 99.99% of what you see in Nigeria are crocs

Though ive not seen any, but alligators and crocodiles are commonly confused with one another, and the words are often used interchangeably.

Although they look similar, there are a few key physical characteristics that can help you easily distinguish between crocodiles and alligators.

Differentiating between the two is the problem.

Alligators live only in the southeastern USA and eastern China, whereas crocodiles can be found right across the world in Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia, North America, South America and Central America.

If you are in the USA, then you are far more likely to encounter an alligator than a crocodile.

But U.S is the only country having both.

Pictured, U shaped is the Alligator and V shaped is crocodile.

That may be the case on record but these days you never know. I was in South Africa just last week and a farm down in the eastern cape has three different breeds of alligators. They have many of rare animals and they farm and sell some. Yes, I did learn a rumour that the farm is illegal but Kruger National Park (Gauteng province) is not.

I think some wild animals used to be resticted to certain countries which, is currently not the case. For example the black mamba, Bostwana and Namibia have it though record shows the opposite.

You are right, but just using anaconda as a study.

They exist only in South America except if smuggled or exported to other countries.

The Tiger is the real king of the jungle.

Explorers:
There are 23 species of crocodiles and most of them are endangered because of poaching.

Crocodiles and alligators are not the same.

Crocodiles are larger, have V-shaped jaw and some of their teeth can be seen even when the jaw is fully closed.

Alligators are smaller, they have U-shaped jaw and their teeth are not visible when jaws are closed.

You're correct. very correct.
contrary to the belief that the lion is the king of the jungle, lions don't even live in the jungle. Lions are found on the plains.

That one na lie
But you believe that Jesus is Lord and he came and died for our sins?

Or you believe that Mohammed was once on earth and did some stuff that I do not know of because I am not muslim?

I am not trying to start any argument. But I think iy would be easier for you to do a little research before you claim something is right or nah.
