HAH:Why do you feel so disturbed whenever government is making attempt to recover stolen money or bring to book those who breached public trust? Why are you so elated when government cases collapse so the accused continues to enjoy his loot, and in effect embolden new set of looters and assure us of a jungle society? Why? Why?? Why ![]() |

JustCalMeDBoss:Nigeria sold oil at $109 per barrel. We sold oil blocks, we sold power plants, we sold government enterprises, people paid taxes, we sold GSM licenses, we received LNG dividends. Please you don't deceive yourself. This money and more were stolen. The sad is that people think in narrow ways. |

luvinhubby:Half education is worrying you, It means UAE generates wealth valued at $300 billion plus every year, not the total net worth. Nigeria GDP is about $500 billion but total value of assets is trillions of , I don't expect you to understand this though, as it doesn't help your bias. Not that I don't feel the 200 billion is exaggerated, but that is of little concern to me, even all that was stolen is $1billion it's still outrageous enough for me not to be happy that a government is now interested in getting it back. If we are reasonable people our discussion should center more on how to ensure we get the money back, prosecute the perpetrators and accomplices adequately, send a strong messagethat crime doesn't pay, put in preventive measures to prevent re looting, and ask questions on what the recovered loot will be used for. But no been Nigerians we are more interested in the least important aspect of the matter, the one we have the least capacity to influence. Monies have been stolen granted but nothing we say here will increase or reduce the actual amount stolen. |

Their interest is to make the government look ridiculous for even attempting to recover loot mainly because they don't like the face of the head of government. They don't mind that billions of dollars will be lost forever, if it will help to say Buhari failed. |

Ovamboland:Stop this silly thoughts. Why must fellow citizens be foolish at all cost. There is no $200 billion dollar stashed anyway. Your gullibility is becoming ridiculous. |

I thought the figure was quoted by Herald newspaper? Why not blame them for misleading Nigerians rather than the executive? Anyways, the fact still remains the same - monies were looted, stashed in foreign countries (one of which is Dubai) and it had impacted negatively on us. So it is only reasonable to repatriate the funds and prevent a recurrence. Stop this silly thoughts. Why must fellow citizens be foolish at all cost. There is no $200 billion dollar stashed anyway. Your gullibility is belonging ridiculous.[/quote] |

Ovamboland:You've spoken very well! But how far with the matter? With the situation in the country now I doubt if it can be realized. |
