Legendary ‘Juju’ musician, Adeyinka Adekunle, popularly called General Prince Adekunle is dead. A cousin of the deceased, Femi Adekunle, confirmed that he died at the age of 74 after spending about three weeks at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.


Late General Prince Adekunle was a Nigerian Jùjú musician of Egba origin, from Abeokuta in Ogun State. ‎He was born on October 22, 1942. The late Adekunle, who reigned in the 60’s and 70’s, trained other popular musicians such as Sir Shina Peters‎ and Segun Adewale.

The remainms of the late musician has been deposited in the mortuary and his family is expected to meet on Tuesday for burial arrangement in Abeokuta, the hometown of the late musician.

i don't know what breeds this kind of a thing that full nairaland recently, even though you wake ur people up with a sliding tackle and no single respect for your elders both dead or alive, that does not mean at least you must not use your brain once in a while. Even a mad man on the road knows when to talk and keep quiet, but your case is different. Wish you quick recovery, though.

You're seriously uncultured.
Did you know Prince Adekunle before writing this rubbish? He was a legend in his own right. You cannot mention juju musicians without Adekunle. Ask the elders in your family, if they know history. If not, ask KSA, Ebeneezer Obey etc

He mentored Shina Peters and Adewale Segun when he had sight issues, they broke away from him in the late 70s.
