Of course all parts of Nigeria have experienced stagnation in different facets and young Yoruba minds like those posting here are desirous of changing that narrative as it affects ile Oodua. You are right that Yoruba land has truly not lived up to her reputation in education but forget those stats from that region. How many of the beneficiaries of those stats proceed to university? How many graduate eventually? How many proceed to make something of those magic stats? Law school, ICAN, ANAN, NSE, NAPE and other professional bodies composition will always show Yoruba are light years ahead. We must strive to do better than our current low figures but let those noise makers sit down with their magic WAEC scores while we strive for something better
