So I went shopping today and I was shocked with the prices I saw in shoprite.

I thought they boast of having the best prices?


Before they had better prices when compared with local Iya Bisi in the neighbourhood.

Now most of the things are so expensive.

Or am I mistaken ni ?

Eeya. and am eagerly anticipating the opening of the new shoprite along airport road Abuja oh. means I should I should properly screen prices and check my wallet as I shop wella. kpele oh bigass. the name though

I no longer patronize Shoprite again.


Sahad stores serves my needs for now.


To my surprise, I purchased the regular Jojo dog food for my dog way cheaper than what I used to buy same at Shoprite this evening.

I complained same to my younger brother last week when I came back from Shoprite. Their goods are so high compared to others I buy my things from!

I think is because of high rate fake product in the market now. Shop rite sales original,I am not advertising for them.

I also noticed the price of beverages in ShopRite are twenty percent higher than the price in our regular corner-shops in Nigeria.

The increase in their price could be as a result of high overhead costs. It is not easy to run diesel 24/7 and also pay workers's salaries.

Goods are cheaper in regular shops, especially those owned and managed by Igbo guys. The fact that some of these stores sell cheaper products doesn't mean they're fake; your good would be cheap when you spend less on rent, electricity, tax and logistics.
