lastmessenger:Go and read history about lagos industrialization. The first industrial estate was established in ikeja by obafemi awolowo. Also, lagos was not only the factor, -before independence ibadan was the largest and most vibrant city in Nigeria even above lagos. -the first skyscraper ibadan -first TV station ibadan -first modern stadium ibadan -free education ibadan etc are all because of lagos? and I think northerners understand this, that is why they dont normally shout that lagos and yorubas by extension underdeveloped them! stop using lagos as an excuse for your backwardness and stop blaming others for your failure, blameshifting sI very characteristic of yIGBOs.Also, southeast and the north depend on handout from government than any other regions

omonnakoda:You have no argument. The important thing to note is that Britain that created Nigeria was disposed to giving two of its contituent parts, Northern Ireland and Scotland, referendum without anyone moving any motion of independence in London In that same vain, Nigeria should be disposed to granting the Igbos or Igbo land, a referendum without the need for anyone moving a motion in Abuja. |

tsdarkside:So you dont know? How do you think you became a Nigerian? It was because a Britush man called Lugard came and claimed anything do you even understand what that means...Yes, and thats what referendum will prevent. fyiSorry bro but you didnt make Nigeria, Lugard and his wife did. Lugard carved out a territory and his wife called it Nigeria. |

attackgat:well, you have a point. When Igboland is not a conquered territory!....but the igbo leaders that could make things happen are not pushing for it.Ekweremadu is just sitting in the senate doing nothing! |

attackgat:We have a different constitution ,That disposition " as you call it lies in Section 30 of the 1998 Scotland Act it did not come from nowhere and it did not come from protest. If you want to marry a woman you do not kidnap her and take her home. You follow procedure and in the UK the first step was in 1998 with the enactment of the Scotland Act . So if your people are wise they would recognize the parallel in our situation to be first Restructuring. The Power to call for a refereendum is based entirely on Section 30 of the Scotland Act and it is not an absolute power .London still has the power of veto as Theresa May has said recently to calls for another referendum because Scotland did not vote for BREXIT.She said NOT NOW and that is that. |

Danladi7:But the technologies of these country you mention are not the same. What USA has is more than oil. what sa has is more than oil, but in Nigeria we can't do without oil. oil is wealth, my dear. ask Saudi Arabia and UAE. |

Danladi7:Igboland IS CONQUERED TERRITORY just like every other place in NIgeria. They were all conquered by the British and handed over to "NIGERIA" whatever that means. The Igbo tried to escape and NIGERIA recaptured them and brought them back into their cage |

Danladi7:We all agree on that the issue is methodology. These Eboes are often too emotional and impulsive. I suggest you watch how the Yoruba go about it over the next few years. We must not forget though that we had regional Autonomy until Aguiyi Ironsi enacted Decree 34 . Before then Regions had resource control. The Eboes were happy with Decree 34 in January 1966 but changed their minds in July. I wonder why ![]() |

omonnakoda:Well at least you know that before anyone can be a wife, there must have been a marriage first. Britain is a marriage becausethe Kingdoms of Scotland, Wales and England signed the 1707 "Act Of Union" that produced the United Kingdom. So at least they agreed to be together, so they can talk about due process. At no time did the Igbo nation agree to be part of Nigeria. Like others, we were all roped into this British colonial contraption called Nigeria. Now the Igbo nation is making it clear that this illegal country created in 1914 can no longer stand and we demand a referendum to determine our continued participation in Nigeria, or not. Yes indeed, we are people kidnapped. |

omonnakoda:yeah, then western region was the fastest growing region in Africa then untill it was disrupted by a selfish group of soldiers (kaduna nzeogwu and aguyi ironsi) both Igbo(s).That is why I laughed when one fool claim the yorubas will lose if the country is restructured back to what our founding fathers negotiated for! |

Danladi7:we the south easterners should be the one crying for the so called unforeseen suffering you are here to campaign but unfortunately a south west guy is crying for us. For the records, Nigeria industrialization is centered around. Lagos.the seaport, the airport are in Lagos giving the south west states some leverage over other states in the federation but still we have the likes of osun and the rest not meeting up salary demand. Ekiiti is actually a glorified village. You guys have the country swinged to favour you and yet we don't see much to that effect. Meanwhile here in the SE,no seaport,no international airport until recently and very few government presence yet we are not performing bably even after coming out from the rubble of the war. Is this not an indication that we can do without the God forsaken country where injustice rules. All us and see us develop our indigenous technology when the Biafra is achieved. Igbo's will never suffer and has never been worse off since Nigeria started. We are strong people and can do without the country |
| Re: How Will Igbo Not Lose If Nigeria Is Restructured? by Danladi7(op): 5:26pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
attackgat:They actually agreed...awolowo in the west, ahmadu bello in north and azikwe in the east and they negotiated for basis of the union which was true federalism! The basis of the union was disrupted by the soldiers and the soldiers replaced what our founding fathers negotiated for(true federalism) with unitary system. For our existence together to be meaningful we must go back to what our founding fathers that merged us together settled for which was true political and fiscal federalism. Even the northerners that currently oppose to restructuring, their political mentor, ahmdu bello never supported unitary system of government. |

lastmessenger:and all southeast states can meet up with salary payment ![]() There is nothing that is lagos that is not in rivers and igweocha(portharcourt),why cant southeast states leverage on that?.....the act of using sea port and airport s in lagos as excuse for your failures is stale and overused |
| Re: How Will Igbo Not Lose If Nigeria Is Restructured? by omonnakoda: 5:37pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
attackgat:You were CONQUERED not roped in CONQUERED by the British who handed you over to Nigeria you fought a war to escape and lost woefully so you have two choices start another war or follow due process |

attackgat:You guys twist fact just to suit yourselves. However, the lies don't work, due process does. All regions were represented in the Lancaster House Conference in 1957. Igbo were represented by Azikwe while others regions had their delegate fronting for them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancaster_House_Conferences_(Nigeria). The journey to independence in 1960 was a collective contribution of every region including Igbos. The marriage was consented to by all parties involved. Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and the minorites in the house of the parents (Britain) |

FOLYKAZE:Leave the jokers.Whe Awolowo asked for a secession clause Azikiwe opposed it now they are claiming they did not consent HOW IS IT THAT NORTHERN CAMEROON LEFT NIGERIA ?? LET THEM EXPLAIN THAT ![]() |
| Re: How Will Igbo Not Lose If Nigeria Is Restructured? by attackgat: 6:03pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
FOLYKAZE:The Lancaster house meeting was just were representatives of the people went to decide the body of laws guiding Nigeria after independence. I need to see a document signed by the Igbo nation or it representatives where Igbos fomally gave up their sovereignty for Nigeria. The Lancaster house meeting is no different to any partnership where a memorandum of association is drawn up. Any partner can still pull out at any time. |

omonnakoda:We are not going to war and we are not going to any fraudulent due process. We are going to continue with peaceful protestation, civil disobedience, rejection of Nigeria, the exclusion from Nigerian political process abd many more. There will be no peace until referendum is granted to the indigenous people of the land whos ancesteal land was stolen to create the colonial creation called Nigeria. |

attackgat:Good luck with that . The Irish Republican Army said more.In the end they sat down to talk. Ancestral Lands have been stolen since the walls of Jericho Fell it is part of humanity ask the Native Americans,Australians and so on the strong kill the weak Just like this video will remind you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bviS5aqi3fk We are loyal Nigerian Citizens and the Republic of Biafra hereby ceases to exist This time there will be no £20 |
| Re: How Will Igbo Not Lose If Nigeria Is Restructured? by FOLYKAZE(m): 6:14pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
attackgat:There is no nation called Igbo. It is just a group of people conquered by the Britain and handled over to Nigeria which your representative in person of Akizwe consented. And mind you, Azikwe was the one who pushed against secession clause when Awolowo pushed for it. The decision he took then wasn't his but the people he represented. At the moment, there is no secession clause. No sitting president will give you the voice to call for secession, he/she will rather give you war. Maybe wae is what you all want, quickly push for it rather than making noise over all the place. The end is bleak as war or violence will not give you Igbo Nation. The best bet is due process. Force your representatives in the Assembly to do their job; the call for their people bidding. Restructure is the best bet which can give you guys referendum. The party now is entertainment. Everyone will have fun and return home. |

lastmessenger:Away with this stupid lie! Which whole East was destroyed? Apart from your foolish Ojukwu using ogbuniwe against the army without caring for anyone in the SE, nothing happened to the East except for the food blockade. Should I also remind you that same Ojuwku incessantly dropped his stupid Ogbuniwe in Lagos as well? Abeg, forget story.. Everyone was affected by the war, not just the Ibo and the main casualties in the SE was starvation. |

Danladi7:since u know we can leverage with our closeness with pH and all why are you now crying more than us .why don't they allow Igbo's be on their own and see if really they will suffer as you are predicting. In the mist of subjugation and negative policies we are still striving, tell how we will not strive when we stay on our own and build our own country. |
