They fought the longest civil war in african history. Killing themselves like animals.
If God wants to punish these animals, he would just end one naijeria and watch them descend into their various yoruba sub-rivalries.
Animals.

Why comments like this one is not deleted and the account barred is what I don't understand Nairaland has turned to a fertile ground for ethnic hatred and most times, very irresponsible comments.
Imagine a 'normal' human being saying his 'fellow countrymen' are about to be harvested??

Seun/Mods should be proactive with these things......these days I am very ashamed opening Nairaland in public as I now see it as a place for petty idle people, and ethnic bigots!
EponOjuku:
Let me explain something here.

This is similar to what happened before the civil war. After Major Kaduna Nzeogwu killed Ahmadu Bello, SL Akintola, Tafawa Balewa and others, he refused to kill Igbo leaders.

The Igbos in the north started taunting the Hausas about the killing of the Sardauna. The next thing that followed was the pogrom which led to the recall of all Igbos in the North.

Eventually, a few million Igbos had to pay for the foolishness of a minority.

50 Years later, Kanu proposed going on to Lagos to taunt the Yorubas and Kaduna to taunt the Hausas. Also, the Hausas have given the Igbos an ultimatum and the Ohaneze has called for a return of all Igbos just like 1967.

The Northerners have closed shop and the soldiers have their boots on ground. I'm having a feeling of dejavu. I'll keep my fingers crossed and my gunpowder dry. Another 3M are about to be harvested again.

it is on his that Igbos were never conquered this are people you said are fragmented. Igbos are the most orginised tribe in Nigeria. all over the world. Jealousy is your problem afonja.

The east was never conquered ha ha ha...

1. I know your poorly educated because you believe the only mission of the Church in the east was to spread the word of God .. as it were.
2. Would you extinguish your scarce resources on a cornucopia of hamlets in the east with limited commercial potential or rather on the trade routes, political machinery and valuable artifacts of Edo land, or the Unmatched political organization and communication network of the north or perhaps the beautiful mermaids of Akwa Cross.

No my unlearned fellow in the times past the fewer wars and enemies you had the more insignificant you truly were. They spent less effort on your territory because they had very little to gain. Think about it

These guys are the least organized ethnic group in Nigeria. Their ancestral failure to consolidate power is the sole cause of their political insignificance.

I always wondered why the east is so fragmented. And it occurred to me. If they could not have at anytime one ruling house that cut across atleast 1/3 of Ibo land. They never could organize themselves.

Edo conquered far and wide, Nupe far and wide, Yoruba far and wide, Fulani far and wide, Hausa far and wide (even had a warrior princess)
Ijaw, Itshekiri, Calabar. All well organized.

The east has always been a weak but rebellious political group. They can only unite for death and destruction of themselves by themselves.

Remember Bokoharam in the north east. IPOB thinks, the anarchy will go pass the niger bridge. We have six geopolitical zones for times like these, to compartmentalize insurgency, madness and mass delirium

Go back to school and ask your teacher this question.... what tribe in Nigeria was the most dominant before the civil war.
millions of Igbo died in that war and still we are counted among the top 3 tribes in this country.

your thinking abt the bloodlines of our royal fathers is my thinking abt yours where a super idiot can come to power because his father was king that something that never happens in Igboland.

again go read history. of all the tribes in Nigeria, Britain consider the Igbo man's system of government the best.

pls don't take my word for it. go back to school, all the answers are in the history textbooks.

You conquered far and wide and yet you couldn't defend your people when it mattered the most. If you were that much of a conqueror why didn't your forefathers cross the niger?
The white colonialists came, and the yorubas like the coward you are gave them a red carpet without even a disagreement.
You are this and that and yet your philandering kings couldn't even defend their own watery yoruba civilization. While the east with no kings and no need for one were fighting for their autonomy from british pollution.
Shameless history revisionists. Tribe of cowards and deluded simpletons.
And lest i forget, the longest civil war in african history is the ife-modakeke war. Yoruba savages slaughtering themselves like animals until the british had to intervene.
And i am certain, the moment one naijeria disappears, yoruba sub-ethnics descend into their age-long never ending bloodletting. We already see it with the oba of ife and lagos squaring for a fight.
Be grateful for one naijeria. It is the only reason why yoruba ethnic group has not murdered itself into extinction.
