Would pick the Samsung note 8 if I were in your shoes. It offers so much and more. Yeah the LGV30 looks cool on paper but something about that brand doesn't sits well with me. At the end of the day,the cash and choice is yours.
Samsung is boring me yearly with their stereotypes
i currently use a Note5, I don't think I'll upgrade sef
S7...S8, what really changed .. just few tweaking here and there
innovation to me was the S6 duo... they are more centered on making profits than putting in more work... price hike is outrageous even the crappy mid-range Samsung device chain can sell for about €400 or more... I'll pick a mid-range xiaomi device over Samsung's!

max €800..
specs: I don't think i have one... every competition repeat and use same thing so far it's Android.
user experience can only differ on devices tho
Iphone X tho,$1499 tax incl for the 256GB variant like what the hell... I think I'll go for mi mix 2 if it's camera features OIS, screen is scratch and dust plus device is water resistant... supports LTE band for 9mobile/MTN.... and the piezoelectric bullshit from Mi mix doesn't repeat itself... if it supports VR apps as well

Very well then. Mi mix 2 it is.

But I'm a bit skeptical about its sunlight display lipsrsealed.

If you don't care much about battery, you might want to throw in nokia 8 into the picture.

Hologram call? shocked

Na you dey give yourself heartbreak na grin

But it should be possible in the future sha
exactly my point.... I'm not saying I want a device Asap with hologram support o!
but these tech guys should at least do away with their stereotypes
the prices will even discourage potential buyers..not everyone can drop $500-$1200 for a PHONE
Xiaomi and it's likes should up their game and chase these old tech geezers off the market

Gptech:

I won't blame you because they are the cause, they overhype devices with renders not currently practical to achieve ; leaving customers with high hopes! I can assure you the mate 10 won't be different. Mobile tech is almost at its peak until something groundbreaking is discovered. Whatever they are trying to market, be it Amoled display, HRD support on 4k screen, 50mp camera with aperture size of 1.2, 12gig ram, gorilla glass 7, 18:9 aspect ratio, dual or tetra rear camera( madness), 8000mah battery in a 5mm thick body, etc, are all meant for profit making even though they mean little or nothing to you. In the end, the question is do you really need all these? Just get a device that works well for you and relax, because what you even seek for now will be outdated in just a few months.
On point boss, what they're doing now is trying to outdo each other in terms of specs. This one will increase RAM today, another will increase too grin
Maybe Elon Musk needs to start looking into phone world for more innovative ideas.
