If you still want to stay with your first bank, you don't need to open another account.

All you need do is to do your transactions through another branch where your account officer will not see you and don't act like a newbie when you meet the Treasury Bills officer.

You see, many people cause the hostilities they encounter when they want to start doing Treasury Bills by informing their accounts officer probably because they are not aware that it does not pay him and the bank for you to exit savings or fixed deposit for Treasury Bills.

When you want to exit fixed deposit for Treasury Bills, you will be doing yourself a lot of harm by telling your accounts officer your real intentions. Just tell him that you are no longer interested in fixed deposits and want your money in savings for savings interests only so that you can take it within minutes anytime you need it without going to the bank to fill and sign papers and do your Treasury Bills through another bank

This one is a long story. Just tell them that your child is about to been pursued from school and that you need it today today to pay his/her school fees. End of story. cheesy grin

Dear All,

Can anyone confirm if their primary bid application for today's CBN bid has been confirmed by their bank? I am asking because I have heard from Stanbic that their global market unit informed them that TB is on hold thus all customer application will not be treated. And that they will inform when they have a go ahead to process applications.

What is the situation with your bank? Is there really a CBN auction today and for which tenors?

You don't need any document..
Just walk into the Bank you bank with and ask for the Bank officials in charge of T.B..
They will either ask you to fill a T.B investment form or Write a Formal instruction authorizing them...
WARNING!!!!!! Don't sound like a Newbie to them because they will frustrate the hell out of you....Get your fact straight before approaching them...

Mehn....Just checked it now....it's now showing both my old and new investments...
But can you elucidate why the tenure was written 1 instead of 364.?

It's still part of their system malfunctioning... Still no stress. It shows you the maturity date which is sufficient... They may rectify the tenor later.

Sterling bnk debited me dis evening wit d face value. I applied for 364days

I've been considering Sterling bank lately for my next t-bills. Please can you share your experience at the bank, rate and the process? I got a form online but I'm not entirely sure whether such still applies at the bank.

Guys!!

Who knows when the next Primary Auction is?
Can't seem to find any information on it anywhere

I was given 16.5% for 105 days today (secondary market). 17% for 175 days. I guess the primary market rates will be quite attractive.

how much was your initial investment?

What about fg bond? I don't mean the saving bond but the normal bond of over 5 yrs
chinco19:
Dear All, I work with an investment advisory firm that helps individuals purchase T-bills at the primary market. Your funds are safe as they would be kept our custodians (UBA) with your name and account number. What are the perks of going through us?

Better Yields: Yes, I don't know how many percent the best bank is giving but we will give you a net yield of at least 20% per annum on 1million for a year tenure. Remember that yields are different from rates. Rates are lower because you will get your returns upfront while yields are higher cos your returns will be reinvested.

Investment related articles and media highlights: We will also keep you up to date on the goings-on in the country.

What do you need?
All you need is to give us a call on 08110667899 or send an email to info@teakwoodadvisory.com. Once your interest is confirmed, we will send a KYC form to fill and request photocopies of certain documents for regulatory reasons.

That being said. Do not let banks rip off what you should originally earn by giving you lower rates. Whatever is left from the high yields is what they pocket. You can give us a call or send a mail to clear your doubt and kindly make reference to nairaland to know where the request is from. And yes, we also invest on behalf of those below 1million but on a lower yield. You could however be lucky that we have people in your category and the lump sum for all of you amounts to 1million. That works too.

Because we are getting from the primary source, minimum amount is 1 million.
Even if you are scared to invest, don't be scared to reach out. We are domiciled in a building in IKJ.
