I plan travelling to Enugu before 1st October to avoid anything silly happening since I live close to the North but I'm having a rethink cos it appears the east isn't safe too.

So are we igbos better of in the North? Whar do you think?

As long as the northerners keep preventing a referendum and islamizing Nigeria, Igbos everywhere are not safe.

In my honest opinion I'll say the east is Slightly safer. In the north, there can be a case of xenophobic attacks and killings, won't happen in the east. Worst that I see happening in Enugu is IPOB & MASSOB agitation and military intervention. Of course they shouldn't do anything rash.

There's a lot of igbo culture being promoted in the Igbo-British community. Have a look at their channel, they are trying to keep the language alive.
