The road, so narrow now. BRT lane ought not to be on that road at all. All I can see is greed. An avenue to make money at all cost in expense of the masses

What is happening on that road is sheer madness. They have converted a 4 lane road to two lanes. When the road was 4 lanes, the traffic was bad, now that it is two lanes, it's a nightmare. That road has no business having a BRT lane.

It boggles the mind that lagos state can carve up a section of a Federal express road for BRT. All I see here is political cronism that defies logic

Madness is an understatement. I pass through that road everyday; the stress and the traffic is so annoying. Spending 2-3 hours for a trip that should not be less than 1hr is disgusting.
They should have just restricted whatever is it they planned on doing on the road to the newly constructed bridge in Abule-egba.
Most people pass through that road with curses on their lips. BRT lane on that express road is so so not it at all, but this is Nigeria. lipsrsealed

I don't know if they intend to extend the road by adding another lane. Do they realise the sheer volume of vehicles that use that road on a daily basis? People have been battling gridlocks for years on that route, and this madness has made it worse.

I never knew it can get worse, but it has gotten worse

I refuse to believe this shit. To be honest I thought it was road expansion until I was told it was meant for brt. Ambode is beginning to think with his anus.

I know many 'proud' car users use this route but sorry 'cos this is meant to replace yr cars. The number of vehicles making u-turn @ abule egba, iyana ipaja, dopemu under bridge, has been increasing, & worsening d traffic along this route, but the brt will make tinz easier as less people will take their vehicles out. I'm sure its gonna be more effective than the ikorodu rd brt lanes. They shld also link it up to oshodi, mile2/Apapa... Besides those pedestrial bridges they 'vowed' not to build @ mangoro & cement wil be provided...

BRT is one of the best things that happened to Lagos. There were more traffic on the road then even with four lanes than now that the lanes are narrowed. The luxury of BRT is world class.

Although the thought of shrinking a four Lane road to create space for BRT lanes looks stupid, but the govt is banking on the idea that presence of BRT buses will reduce the number of vehicles that ply the road by over 20%.

Commercial buses would ply shorter routes, private car owners would rather use the BRT buses reducing the traffic on the road by a significant amount

Absolutely, the yellow buses constitute 80% of the madness on that road. Effective brt will solve that problem
