Have you been to Botswana? how many cities do they have, even their capital city Gaborone, its a town in South african standard. many people still live in a rural area. How many cities does New zealand have? Christchurch, Wellington, etc. and they have a population of 4m. If Botswana was as developed at Qatar, UAE, those countries have smaller population, i would start to respect Botswana, but for now, its just a rural country with no development to write home about.

You have to be careful with some of these studies, for example your study agrees with another that says Nigerian middle class is 4.1 million, which is merely 11% of the population, bu 4.1 million is not 11% of the population. Read this article as well, it gives thesame false data but says Nigeria has the largest middle class on the continent.
