My bro FriendNG, I can state it categorically that at the heart for the calls for restructuring is the fear of majority Christians that there is a sinister Northern agenda to islamised the country. You really do not know the fear of an average Christian. Nigeria must remain secular and tilt towards any religion or we restructure immediately. This is not about hate but fear for our freedoms. I remain resolute on my point.

That is only the work of political pastors especially during 2015.

There are more Christians than Muslims in Buhari cabinet. Take the list of his ministers And see. A man who did not Islamize a country under military rule is now doing it under democracy?

You have clearly stated restructuring is a Christian agenda, then why should Yoruba Muslim accept it? Do you want to Christianize them.

Today a Muslim is ruling this country, you have cooked up many lies and many of you have been brainwashed to believe in lies.

Remember after Muslim rule, then it will be Christian. How do you expect people like Ffk, Fayose to stand before Kaduna, katsina, etc and campaign for any of their candidate ?

Any candidate who choose them as campaigners have automatically lose the northern vote, also the new Yoruba Muslim votes that you have created.

A lot of Christians that are Yoruba are scared of igbos leaving because we don't trust our Muslim brothers who have pledged allegiance to the North. I am very angry that my brothers would call me igbo because I dare voice out the fear of millions of Christians in SW? angry

Goke, you are a reasonable man but you are being selfish in this discussion. The way I write, does it cross your mind that I am an illiterate? I have all the skills to be what I want to be in the 21st
Century. What you are not getting is that there is apprehension in the minds of so many Christians that they would be islamised. Do you know how scared an average Christian is when it crossed his heart that we have Islamic extremists amongst us? How do you think an erratic character like Donald Trump won the 2016 US elections? It was the fear of the Christians for Muslims who had been emboldened by Barack Obama's pro Islamic policies.

Likewise, the resurgence of state backed religious violence in the North and now all over Nigeria is making millions of Christians afraid. You are talking of tapping into IT and leaving politics. I dare state that anybody that leaves politics to others will pay dearly for it.

You might call me a bigot but whenever I see a girl with hijab, I get scared because she might have a bomb there. This is the genuine fear of Christians worldwide and it is nobody's fault but the adherent of the other faith. They have not done much to curb terrorism. The reason why FFK, Fayose and NK are so powerful is because they speak to protect the rights of so many millions of Christians in Nigeria who have suffered esp under this government. The present administration has shown clearly that it is pro north/Islam and people have the right to be suspicious and apprehensive.

I would vote a Fayose over Pastor Yemi Osinbajo any day as I know that Fayose would be radical in protecting my faith. It is the way Donald Trump would win a 2nd time even if he keeps bumbling in the White House. grin

Americans vote for Clinton not trump. Go and check. It was only the so called electoral college that give the presidency to trump.

Clinton beat trump hands down.

You can vote for fayose but u will definitely lose

They are all intertwined. Do you deny that we have a problem in the Country? I get really tired of trying to educate my brothers. This is a real apprehension. Some of us see the future. I hated igbos before but I now realize that they are important for the existential welfare of Yoruba Christians.

Yoruba Christian. Likewise the Yoruba Muslim see the important of the north for their welfare.

Otherwise the south will be 75% Christian vs 25% Muslims

Alcatraz005:

Don't try and twist it like that. The main fear is the North. I am trying to make my brothers see reason for a stronger south. Their body language and silence is loud and ominous hence my call to reason.

That's absolutely what you are trying to do , something only a bastard son Oduduwa will do. We all know Fayose and FFK are trying to play opposition politics in a very wrong and bitter way. You know we would have assumed a different thing if only they both are not a member of PDP. It's only a fool that won't see that they are trying to salvage the dead image of PDP by trying to pitch tent between Southern Christans and Muslims, when actually we are known to have coexisted peacefully like brothers and sisters. .
.
Take note, however, that no matter the hatred you and other Oduduwa bastards like FFK and Fayose are trying to germinate in South west, it will not grow because we are too wise to be a bigot.

Is ishaq Oloyede the extremist who runs Jamb and one Prof Akintola of Muric not yorubas who scare the shit out of our Christian population?

Kindly state the problems you have with these people, how have they preached hatred or stopped Christians from worshipping in South west?

Is aregbesola who wanted to take over schools and allow kids with hijab overrun our schools not Muslim?

I don't get you, did he force Hijab on anybody?

What happen to Shiites in Zaria is more worst than what happen to Igbos . They were also lebelled as illegal and unlawful group. Those that end the Shiites religion? No it only put sense into their group activities.

Fulani herdsmen? Which one should be called terrorist now. Please answer me.

Fulani as a tribe should be called terrorist and be arrested anywhere they are caught or herdsmen that rear cattle. Any person that rear cattle moving around from one region to another is a terrorist and should be arrested.

What is wrong with you

Was Igbo tribe proscribed? Was Biafra proscribed?

Only a group was proscribed, massoab is still very much alive.

If they is any association of herdsmen or group that support evil, then they can proscribed but not a tribe or a trade.

Boko haram are mostly kanuri looking for Islamic state. Neither kanuri tribe nor sharia law was proscribed but rather the illegal group itself.

These are words of wisdom!!! I hope a lot of misinformed people learn from it.

Ok now i would address the concerns of ODvanguard, ereolamide, cabal, bibi and Goke who i presume are yorubas. I am from Ogun State, Abeokuta precisely and i have lived all my life in Lagos. My two best friends from University who i trust with my life are muslims and i love them to the bone. Also, my best friend in the office isd a muslim and although, we disagree on some matters of principle, we love and trust each other to a reasonable. Contrary to the impression that i might have created that i hate muslims, i dont and i have never been hurt by any muslim before be it Yoruba or Hausa. However, i have cause for serious concern for Nigerian Christians as the global terror and quest for World domination expressed by the Muslim Ummah has made hitherto liberal Christians weary of their safety and religious freedom in a fast changing World. Needless to say that the liberal muslims have done or nothing to roll back the progress of extremists in their midst. All we have seen are feeble condemnations which has not stopped the Jihad being waged against Christians the World over.

On the homefront, Boko Haram has killed upto 30,000 Christians and destroyed churches and properties worth Billions of Dollars thereby displacing both Christian and Muslims from their homes. At the onset of the insurgency, Christians were the main target but as time went by, the muslims also began the brunt of the carnage of adherents of this beautiful religion. Southerners in Nigeria were at the onset unperturbed at the happenings in the North but certain events have forced them to propagate ideas which ensure that they would be safe. Specifically, Christians in Yorubaland have cause to be worried by the rise to prominence of certain groups like MURIC headed by a certain Yoruba man, in fact a Professor called Akintola {cant remember first name} and he is also the Secretary General of NSCIA. He has at numerous times come out to defend intolerable acts committed by members of the islamic Faith and this is a source of great fear for Yoruba Christains.

We also have Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Secreatary General of Jamaaltu whatever {cant remember}, he also doubles as the Registrar of Jamb {Joint Admission and Matriculations Board. He also expresses what is in the view of many, extreme views which worries millions of Christians of Yoruba Extraction{Although it muted in order to present a unified front}. The events that occurred in Osun State is also notable in the sense the Osun Governor made it seem that a predetermined or orchestrated plot was being executed to seize missionary Christian Schools from its adherents. The reason i am stating all these is for the world to know the fears of millions of Christians. I would not detered in my quest to sensitize my people and jolt them from the slumber of being apolitical and aloof to what goes on around them.

I am not oblivious that the authorities who at this moment mainly comprise of the very same people who want to change our way of Life. For example, i usually listen to Jimi Disu who professes to be a converted Christian but usually supports this administration in its divisive actions and rights violation of citizens who practice alternate religions. The scare tactic of gagging those with differing opinions and views as purveyors of hate speech would not work in this democracy. We would not look away while the rights of Nigerian christians are being violated at will. I can always operate from the deep web if it so happens that online commentaries on forums such as Nairaland are being monitored by the authorities. We are in the 21st century and there is a limit to how citizens' freedom of expression can be monitored or gagged. It is not like majority of Nigerian online commentors/activists are involved in the narcotics tarde or sale of firearms on the deep web as it obtains in the developed world. We are only asking that all citizens be treated equally and that justice takes root in Nigeria. The current administration has disappointed a lot of people and it is very frustrating to see that some people still support it due to hate for a certain tribe/religion.

I still have a lot to say but i have very little time. My brothers should read and reflect deeply on some of the things i have said on this thread in order to realise why there are so many agitations in the country especially under this adminitration. Safe. undecided

And if you doubt ask any representative of the south to sponsor a bill that may affect Kwara negatively and see how the northern reps with 1 voice will rule it out.

the agitations under this administration are merely political due to disgruntled politicians who are yet to recover form the loss of the 2015 elections, just like someone on this thread has said, are there not many Christians serving in the top most echelon of this present administration, what is actually your problem? do you know how many RCCG pastors are in this govt? are you aware that it is the Christians that are holding the most sensitive positions in PMB's govt, the minster of finance, the chief of general staff, the cbn governor, the firs chairman, the minister of foreign affairs, minister of trade and the list goes on, are they Muslims?, some are even pastors, don't you know the former SGF was an ecwa pastor from the north before kasala burst for am, who is violating whose rights here?

we know you guys are using style to campaign for PDP and that is why they will loose again, stop hiding under the christian religion to create enmity in yoruba land! If indeed you are a christian, you will be propagating the gospel to win more converts instead of trying to cause a division that does not exist in yoruba land. This was your campaign slogan to corner more votes in youruba land for pdp in the last elections and still it did not work, pls try another approach ok?

can you imagine the Ishaq Akintola guy? This is why i urge my people to open their eyes. No more apathy to politics! I tire abeg!

That has always been their game.

Right here on NL, they have forced Seun to act according to thier dictates.

I remembered how they locked up on of our threads after five pages, simply because someone of us are pointing out their hypocrisy.
