Use NsTC dey charge moderately. It also depend on what part of the state u are visiting because Niger state is the biggest state in Nigeria. The distance from Lagos to minna is 14hours.mokwa to bida is 4hrs bida to minna is 3hrs.mokwa to kontongara is like 4 hrs.

NSTC should be your best bet since this is your first time.although there are other private cars that go to minna. the park is @ Iddo not too far from oyingbo market. safe

I wouldn't mind if you will be able to sleep over, I am at present in Wamba/Akwanga, Nasarawa state close to Abuja...on an investigative journalism of a sort. Pm me please, I am lonely #ireplasgidi #teamomoibadannimi

@OP, Lagos to Minna used to be around 8hrs but I don't know how long it will take now due to bad roads. I used to travel from Oyingbo but not sure if that is still the case. Bida to Minna used to be 1hr but due to bad road is now around 1.5hrs and is no where near the 4hrs stated above. Have a safe trip.

I disagree with you @rafinda.Bida -Minna is a little over an hour. I served in that state(the capital) and it was a wonderful experience..op,u'd enjoy your trip more if u go thru Abuja...then board a car to Minna from that KARU park.I don't know ow much it is now (Abj-Minna) .it used to be #300 back then(2006) ..even now,it wouldn't be up to #1000.transportation cost in the North is relatively lower in terms of distamce.Minna is lovely ..social life is cool too, cheap foodstuff, low transportation costs, among others .Minna-Kontagora is 2hrs thereabout. Enjoy your stay

Next time argue like a sane human. What year were you travelling when bida to Minna is 1.5hrs? If you never ready for 4hrs plus don't waste your time.
