I went for the test and interview, met with the MD. He wouldn't take me because I work for a brother company. My company happens to be one of there client. That was the only hiccup. This happened just few weeks ago.

I would have been a direct testimony. Another company contacted me, asking me to submit my application for the same post. Set up your profile. Make it professional.

I am hardly call upon for test or interviews, through submitting CVS, But through linkedIn I have had a few.

Most of Nigerian recruiters are recruiting best on connection, so they don't bother to source for candidates through such sites..But their are few serious and result oriented organizations that don't compromise standard, who go in search for capable hands through LinkedIn..I was once contacted by an Indian training firm operating in Lagos to become their Automotive training Lead ..The CEO himself from India directly contacted me , after going through my profile in LinkedIn..I was doing well were I was and I had to reject his offer., so it works...

As a laboratory scientist. i hv tried to set up a profile in link-in but, it didn't go. Need someone to help me.

My profile is ok. I have applied to many jobs . Got recomemdations but noting has come out of it..

That's a scam. No potential employer would ask you to pay for an interview.

Yes, twice now... N about 3 previous unsuccessful interviews

I really doubt what use it is,I have had so many foreign organisations go through my profile that's the best,Don't tell me my profile is poor cuz it's one of the best you can find.

LinkedIn is of more value to highly skilled professionals.

I got my present job in a LNG plant in the US through linkedIn. I was contacted by a recruiter who looked up my profile and he organized a telephone interview with the company. Long and short, I got the job and relocated to Texas, USA.

Thanks to God for giving us LinkedIn.

The company works that for you.

there is what is called "relocation assistance". The company will provide financial or paper support or both....it depends on the offer. These kind of jobs are usually for the experienced

it's just like our footballers use their football age to get in the European leagues. sometimes the bosses at work will eventually find out about ur lies once you've joined a company but they'll give u a short time to makeup for your lies b4 they fire u if they thonk you're not making any strong efforts to acquire the skills u know at ur workplace

Linkedin is rubbish as far as am concerned. All the people saying yes yes ain't saying truth they must have known someone before getting the job. Every thing in Nigeria is fake
