I dont think there is anything like 'fast track' for Australian visa, with my own on-going experience and what i have read on this thread.

Yes, i submitted my details to the agency but i doubt that has any impact on the visa process.

I observed you just applied this month. I wish you all the best o. I think Davody also submitted an online biz visa application and got a response after 4 weeks, like few days to the conference, soo be hopeful.

I got another email this morning from pretoria immigration addressed to one "Mrs. Chikwendu" and wrongly sent to me and the email was simply telling her to write a letter to withdraw her application for visitor's visa and resubmit an application for biz visa within 7 days before they make a decision, as she stated she was attending the IBA, which is not tourism but business. I have responded that the email was wrongly sent to me and also included my own details to follow-up with my application since it had passed the standard processing time for biz visa.

Still awaiting their response.

Hi Debby516,

When I inquired they responded that all applications (for IBA) received before Sept 30 will be treated.
All the best. Cheers.

Hi all...To those in Aussie ..Please, wanna ask some question on behalf of Mr. A concerning Studying in Aussie

Overview:

Mr. A wanna go for masters in Australia, years of work experience in Nigeria, has close to 15million naira and wanna use it for tuition fee payment and etc.

1} Intended study in Aussie is for 2 years. Will the 15m be sufficient for visa application and survival in Aussie?

2} What are the chances of working while schooling in terms of how much to earn, hours to work etc?

3} Can Mr. A wife accompany him to Aussie and also what are her chances of working, if she successfully accompany him?

Just wanna know....to me, I feel the 15m is not enough.
Please, to those in Aussie, break it down for me abeg...

If there's a previous post concerning similar issue like this, I wouldn't mind if you can share with me.

Danke schone....Thank you

Very easy! Just follow the steps below:
(1) Open the browser on your laptop/phone or any other device connected to the internet

(2) Type in: www.google.com

(3) In the search box, type in 'universities in Australia'. You should get lots of results. Open each carefully, check the requirements for you intended course in each university and choose the best that applies to your case. If you need further information. There is always a 'contact us' link on the universities' websites. Click on and email or ring them over the phone.

(4) Follow steps (1-3) above for information on tuition fees too.

Learn to put in effort at helping yourself! If you have challenges with accessing the Internet due to insufficient funds, send me a PM, will gladly assist.
Cheers bro/babe!

Good day my good people of nairaland. Please I need advice and guideline. Here it goes >>> I did my waec in 2008. And since then I have not been able to further. Have been into business and I'm married with a kid. Now I want to further my education ,have tried Canada but I was told by agents that it's not going to be possible due to my age(28) and academic gap. Now I want to switch to Australia(tafe precisely) , I want to know if I will be rejected like Canada did. And the possibility of bringing my family along with me. Am waiting for you guys honest reply. Thanks

Hi Galileeteo,

Your age shouldn't pose a problem. However, 2008-2017 is about 9years gap....that's a long one. While securing a visa may be difficult, it is not impossible. All you have to do is to prepare a well written, solid Statement of Purpose with concrete & verifiable evidences to support your claims. On the Canada trial, did you apply and was denied or you backed out based on what the agent advised?

Yes, you are allowed to bring your family along on your Student visa. You can either apply at the same time or they can apply as 'subsequent entrants' after you have been granted your visa and settled in Australia. Whichever case, you need to include them in your application.

Cheers!

I don't know of the IDL. But as far as I know, peeps have recently been successful in completing applications for the drivers license in the comfort of their homes. They only visit the closest FRSC command for capturing. The price is within the range you mentioned.

When coming to study in Australia, please if you plan to work and study, try to get some skills before coming. When I say some skills, I mean skills like knowing how to drive, how to barb, hairdressing skill. U can easily get a job if you have worked at supermarkets or if you have logistic, marketing and public relation skills. These skills can get you a job within 5days. Generally, Australians are good and friendly people. Food is cheap, but rent is affordable if you can get a friend to share with. But it is somewhat costly if you depend on work to pay your tuition and rent. But, you will survive it if you are hulk hogan kind of person. People do that here. As per school, you ll be glad you come if you eventually get the visa. Before I got here. In my case, I waited for my visa for about 4months and I got it when I was expected to resume in two days time. I had to travel immediately, with air ticket cost of about 800k because I bought it the same day I got the visa and I had to travel the following day. I couldn't take my local food, but I found lovely places I could get my Amala and semo here in Australia. Again, I left with small dollar, I didn't know anyone here, but through the help of Nigerian students association, I got a place the same day I got there for 130 dollar for a week before moving to my rented apartment. Concerning learning here, I wish I had studied in Australia since I was born. Several development and training programmes organised to integrate student into the academic world. But as Nigerians, you will cope since they speak clear English. Let me add that I got 9 different scholarships (2 in Australia). I didn't have a first class but I made good grades and I applied for them directly to my school. When I was leaving home, I had to borrow a lot to pay for medical, visa fee, insurance and even air ticket, just to fulfil my dream. Please don't allow anything to stop you. You can search for scholarship if you intend to enroll for a PhD course, regardless of the course or area of research study. Mine was in Philosophy. You have 95percent chance to learn all you need to succeed in life in Oz. Where I work here in Nigeria before travelling, my annual salary was 400k, but here while studying my monthly stipend gives me almost twice my annual salary in a month. So ask me: Why won't I study? Please do the best you can and pursue your dream. And let me say this: pray, work and don't forge your documents. Say the truth in your visa application---truthfulness is what has worked for me and for others that I have met here in Australia....I'd feel I owe you guys my testimony and advice.

I had my hair cut on Friday 1/9/2017 and also departed Nigeria same day.

I saw a barber shop on George Street on my way to Hay Market in Sydney and the price was 10AUD. I did the exchange at N299 via Zenith ATM, thats like N3000. But luckily, i paid my barber in Nigeria N800 to get cool hair cut.

If i know how to barb, ill be making it cool in AU

Fingers crossed.
Also did you submit your details with the events coordination agency to fast track.

I went for ICVPME 2017 September, 4-6

First application via TLS ikeja was 4th July
Denial of Grant based on misconstrued information 27th, July
Second application via online submission, uploading etc 31st July,

Hi am new on this thread, but just felt I should share my testimony of visa grant.. Just saw the mail, about 30 mins ago, am highly elated. Keep up the good work everyone, keep sharing, asking questions, answering etc.
Please if you're in Perth, hala.

P'S. Online visa lodgement only requires your original documents to be uploaded, but if you are sending by post to Pretoria then you will have to send them your notarised copies NOT original. At least that was how Hubby and I did ours.
