I tried to reply your mail but it kept bouncing back.

I explained the Pension funds in my LOE and refereed them to the relevant portion of the Pension Funds Regulations.

Please can you explain how exactly you refereed them to the relevant portion. Also was the pension statement for just a month or 6 months? Thanks for your detailed information.

Good day all, I am just about starting my Express entry process after having been following this thread for a while. I must confess that this thread is highly informative. For anyone who graduated from UNILAG,which is the best for ECA? Is it IQAS or WES. Also do I need to go to Unilag or do it online? How much would it cost me? Your response(s) will be appreciated

WES is faster for UNILAG but only if you can get someone fast track it for you. I can link you up with someone but it would be at additional cost. Transcript request cost N2,500 and courier to Canada cost N16000. Though they can use NIPOST for N400 but delivery is at your own peril.

The 25% covered about 20% of my POF.

I don't see any reason why you can't use it really. So long as it's clearly stated that the funds will be available to you within 4 months.

Glad to know that it worked for you. I recall the debate on the previous thread about how 25% may be used as a support to POF and the suggestions that were offered.

Sometimes, all it takes is for one or two people to be convinced about a cause and forge ahead. This may be how gift deed emerged even though it is not listed explicitly on IRCC's website.

Once again, congrats on your PPR wink

I took 6 months' statement of account.

3. Pension – N...,483,.... - $....,170 CAD
The balance in my pension account as at 14th August, 2017 is N....,685 (Please refer to my Stanbic IBTC RSA Funds statement of account). 25% of this amount which is N....,...421 will be accessible to me within 4 months of resignation. Part III, Section 7 – (2) of the Pension Reform Act 2014 corroborates this fact. Please refer to the attached reference letter from IBTC Pension Managers to confirm this fact; and the link below to access the Pension Reform Act 2014.

Thanks a lot. You're very correct. The thing is that we were bold enough to actually use it. Now we know it's acceptable.

I tried to reply your mail but it kept bouncing back.

For my Tbills, I had some money with my office cooperative, which I withdrew and put in T.bills for 182 days at 18%. I used First Bank and I collected my interest upfront. The Tbills was done in July and I got ITA in August and submitted same August.

First Bank prepared my letter in the CIC format and they included my Tbills. I had very little money in my regular account (about N300k).

I then did an LOE explaining the source of the funds and attached my pay slips to demonstrate that the money was deducted from my account monthly. I also attached my statement of account, highlighting where the Cooperative paid the money into my account.

For the Pension funds, I prepared a letter, asking my Pension Administrators (Stanbic IBTC) to write to CIC confirming that I have retirements funds with them which I can assess within 4 months of being out of job. I also requested that they should attach my retirement statement of account of 6 months. They did as I asked without any hesitation. I picked the letter up the next day.

I explained the Pension funds in my LOE and refereed them to the relevant portion of the Pension Funds Regulations.

I hope this helps?

You can send the mail again, let me respond and see if it will make any difference.

Thanks for your prompt feedback.Pls how do i get CIC format for explaining my POF

There's no format for explaining POF. Just use your own words and be as transparent and detailed as possible.

At the end of my explanation, I did a table like the one below:

The table below summarizes my Proof of funds

S/N Source of Funds Amount
1 USD Domiciliary Account.
Random savings. .... USD – $.... CAD
2 Nigerian Treasury Bills – Withdrawn savings from Cooperative society. N......000,000 - $..... CAD
3 Pension – Continuous contributions from over ...... years of work. Total N.,...... N.....1 - $........CAD
(25% of total amount)

Total
........ CAD

Thanks a lot for your response.Pls can you expatiate on what you meant by "delivery at your own peril" Does it meant it is not advisable to use NIPOST?

Hello My People!

Please I would like to pick your brains. I currently have about $8,200 in my account since August (which makes it 2 months) and I plan to continue funding my account till i get the required 12,300 CAD. By the end of this year, I should have a total of $13,000. Because of this, I decided NOT TO create my EE profile yet and wait till November/December. My CRS score is 433 and if i had created my EE profile earlier, I might have been given ITA yesterday. I know I have 90 days to apply for PR but i decided to be on the safe side because I have no family member to get a gift deed from.

Is it advisable to wait till Nov/Dec to create my EE or do I just create it now? Or when is the best time for me to dive into the pool?

Thanks ALL.

Good day House,

Please I need your advice.
I'm filling the Wes application form online . Should I choose the standard delivery method which is 7 dollars or 85 dollars?

Does it make any difference apart from the ability to track ?

Can I apply without receiving the evaluation hard copy from Wes?

Thank you
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by yimiton(f): 4:10pm On Sep 21, 2017
The standard delivery is fine. I got mine in less than 2 weeks in Lagos with standard delivery.

Hi,

See below a personal experience. Post was last week. Please read through the thread, you'd see personal experiences covering a wide range of topics. Will do you lots of good to read and yes, you can apply without the ECA hard copy.

Kontagious:
I hope this helps someone.

My first set of questions on this thread were ECA (WES) related - if I could use a post office address, and how safe was selecting the standard shipping option. I asked just so I won't hear ECA hard copy got lost in transit and of course cost cutting for the other. I was applying for two ECAs, difference in the two shipping options was netting N45k.

Trust, responses came making me opt for p.o.box and standard shipping. Glad to say, the choices paid off. Hard copies of the ECA picked today - less than a month from receipt of soft copies. The hard copies could have been in the box for a while as we don't get to check the box that often.

To reiterate, future applicants can save some money selecting standard shipping. It will be delivered to your post office box or home address. We’ve had several posts comfirming delivery to home addresses as well, though your ECA hard copy has possibility of getting lost in transit with the standard shipping option.

If you are applying for Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program, you dont need hard copy, they will send electronic copy to IRCC

Take advantage of your score now, you don't know what scores will be in next three months though we all hope and pray to have the CRS reducing.

There are a couple of folks with PPR who received significant amount of their POF after ITA. Ehmm, ITA at hand is better than ITA with IRCC.
