TheEminentLaity:Just saw ur mention. Its not about boy cult, its about the man next to u. The guy I quoted is not cadet. Is just a wannabe. I did my spade work, and I realised it. Now lemme tell u dz. A times when I comment here is not as if I dnt know whatz right, but the military to me is one body. U dnt know who z gonna HV ur back when war calls. And u dnt point fingers. And talking of one body that means when one part go astray the other follows. Sorry for the long epistle just wanna clarify things. I remembered when I was a clown during plumming break a coursemates of mine a lady though went to coz chaos somewhere and the thing went viral thanks to social media. Even though immediately after the resumption d particular girl was on hospital admission still we are coursemates who didn't even know what happened suffered for a week just for her sins. I hope u understand me. Am not a supporter of human right abuse. But whatever the case maybe u dnt cast ur broda in public. I remember my arty man once causing a chaos with police he was wrong buh I had to support him and maintain he was right. Although while we were together I. Rebuked him. The military to me is a brotherhood no one except those in it understands. Tnz |

kufre2010:What are you on ? He listed the fundamental reasons why soldiers are viewed the way they are in naija. Apart from the political manipulations and murders they have proven to be bullies of the ordinary Joe. Respected militaries in other places are viewed as such because they helped rescue those countries' respective democracies( Thailand, Egypt) not tarnish it. They are rarely seen goofing outside the barracks, maintaining their dignity(canada etc). And have checks that actually elevate the civilian authority over the military to check any abuses directed at the people(pretty much any sensible democracy). Now ask yourself : Is that the same for the NA ? |

The issue here, I recall, is not about the military not being a brotherhood or sticking out for each other. It is that you guys, especially the Nigerian Army soldiers, have zero respect for human beings that are not in camouflage uniforms. The guy/soldier/cadet you quoted knows the obvious and saw everything wrong with the status quo. You guys cannot defeat any army in the west but even those one respect people and as a result garner so much love and respect in return from their citizens. Other soldiers in African countries also do not behave like you guys... So it is not about leaving your brother to hang dry in public, it is the obvious that we talked about. I remember I told the cadet/soldier in question that although he cannot do much now, as he rises above in rank, he can change the paradigm of his surbodinates. Also, you talk about war, which is more likely in your time in service: - that you encounter civilians or that you experience war? greatbrian: |
