pls i have being having this resistant malaria for a while now. It does not response to any anti malaria tablets unless i take chloroquine injection but presently the chloroquine injection is beginning to fail me. pls what do u suggests for me as i dont any drug to fall back upon.

I have seen 3 different doctors from 3 different competent hospitals. After doing series of tests every other thing will be fine except mp. Either + or scanty. Once it clears, i will be fine and is likely to come back after 3months. To clears it from my blood stream is not always easy for me.I may take different anti malaria tablets some times combine with immunce b4 i can be successful.

1+ or scanty malaria parasite may not be responsible for the symptoms you are feeling. It could be something else. In this era of artemisinin combination therapy, malaria infection is not really common among adults. Another challenge is the competency of the lab technician that looked at your blood film slides, this I can't vouch for .

try any amodiaquine combo. it will make u want to throw up initially, but if u endure, it will clear ur system. including trophozoites n dose in liver cells

I advice you shouldn't take any drugs without seeing a doctor. Excess malaria drugs can destroy your liver & other organs. I had a similar experience for over a month & eventually, it happened that I had an infection which wasn't typhoid. Remember, most infections, viruses, malaria & other forms of ailments hv similar symptoms so u need complete diagnosis.
