@ all, during my 6 weeks scan(TVs) , I was told I have pid. I took the result to my doc and she advised I do a urine test to confirm the exact infection b4 treatment.

I know the infection won't be more than candida cos I have had reccurent candida infection in the past. Is it safe to treat yeast infection at this stage(7 weeks)? I have an insertion I have not used and I am tempted to use this night as I feel it won't get to cervix as it is closed.

Candida/staph/e.coli are normal flora in the body but when the normal conditions are altered it can lead to infection.

For the reoccurrence, do you use pub toilet or how neat is your office toilet? Have you checked your sugar level? Is your spouse also treating it with you? After treatment do you dispose your undies and get new ones, do you sun dry or iron them? Do you allow your hoohaa to breathe when you're at home (commando style)? Are you douching or using any feminine wash? How often do you wash hoohaa after urinating? Is the lab result out or you just concluded? Are you itching or clumpy/smelly discharge??

Don't bother answering me dear.

Don't self medicate please Please discuss with your gynae, he/she knows best.

My pregnancy was uneventful ,had a relatively free M.S period/ ish. Countdown to 36wks 1 day I went for a scan and was told baby weighed 3.09kg,huh??
I started an almost strictly vegetarian diet though doc assured me that food alone wasn't responsible,that, my hubbys family or mine must have seriously big body frames(Genetics).
Anyway,at 38wks 2days something just said 'babe pack your bags already!! Don't push this thing off again and say ' I still have time".Immediately, I obeyed packed and went off to make one all back hairstyle,this was on Friday. No signs of labour or anything ,only the normal baby movements.
At about 1.31am on Sunday,while sleeping I just felt water gush from my jajaina ,fast and furious! Heh! Na so?? I woke my hubby up ,infact I think he felt the liquid spread to his side. I stood up ,see water ehhhh! I just thanked God that I obeyed that instinct to pack my bags cos I don't know what would have happened in fact ,see confusion!My husband almost left the house with me in only boxers lol,he forgot his phones,I forgot antenatal card.
We drove that midnight oo to the hospital. When I was checked ,was already 3cm OK.4hrs later,6cm,good.4hrs later still 6cm .
Almighty Oxytocin was given ,Jesus!!! I was still forming strong woman, immediately I started rapping oo,I almost squeezed my husband's blokos cos I saw it as responsible for my present predicament.
Eventually ,after 10hrs ,was fully dilated was told to push,my people for 30mins,I was still pushing,the medical team could see babies head, oya come out fully na ,for where! I was already tired.Something just wasn't right.Doc still believed I could still push it out after all, just 2 wks back I was only 3.09kg.My hubby just said pls take baby out infact my mum was calling and saying pls do C.S ooo .
Na so we enter theatre ,I was still contracting ooo.Eventually,in less than 20mins,my oyinbo pepper baby was brought out ,EVERYONE shouted ! BIG BABY ooo ,no wonder! Madam ,how come eh,from 3.09kg to 3.95kg almost 4kg in 2 wks +?? And,we were expecting you a first timer to push that out?Baby would have been seriously distressed and who knows...
Hmmm in all ,I'm grateful to GOD,to Science ,to my Husbands insight,My Mums open-mindedness,My Medical team,My hospital facilities, the advice you wonderful mums give here that C.S is not a taboo or make you less of a woman. The after C.S pains self na Oba! @Moyosblog I feel you oo.
We are still at the hospital though but we are both A-OK. Everyone is happy,first Grandchild for both families.

I just got my bfp this morning( First Pregnancy) but I have been having constant cramping like my AF is coming since 4 days ago, I guess I'm 4weeks because my AF was due on Saturday being 23rd, no bleeding. Please is this normal and when do I need to see a doctor Thank You

welcome teamie? Cramps is part of the package just try and drink water and dont stress yourself, you can also see your dr and hope you are taking your folic acid?

Also avoid pineapples, Zobo, unripe pawpaw and food containing lots of potash for now. Once again welcome.

pls say no to temptation biko, wait for your Dr's instruction before using anything asper you kw we are special people (ttc). My dr also wants me to do TVs but i am 4week 6day today according to my preganancy app and i am thinking of waiting a little longer before going for the TVS.

With tears of gratitude to God, I wanna share my testimony.
Was faced with so much pressure from work place that I didn't have option than to face it. While in it, my water broke, was rushed 2 d hospital and put on strict bed rest.
After some days in d hospital, I went into light labor, complained to d nurses n de kept saying it may be infection.
Like joke, a day after, d pains were to much for me to bear when I demanded 2 c a doctor who admistered a pain killer.
(Note: I was just 32 weeks with some days when water broke).
A day after again, d real labor started, baby was breach, doctor called in to check what's up, he admistered a stronger pain killer but all that failed (this all happened btw d hours of 4-6am).
Made a call to a senior doctor in same hospital, he had to rush down to attend to me. But before he came, they just kept me hanging in d labor room. Note that i Was almost 6cm dilated, with baby legs down.
He came in and ordered emergency CS and that was how God showed me his mercies and grace. (Baby born at 34weeks.
Termed us pre-term, but God said its time.
Took baby to nursery but was discharged after 2days that baby is perfectly normal.

This is my testimony. Praise God with us. Indeed his mercies endureth forever. My appreciation also goes 2 d senior doctor, cos I learnt they were not ready to do any operation that morning. Timely intervention.

Body dey o, it is well by His grace. The main thing now is placenta previa, I did a scan last wednesday and placenta was completely covering my cervix. I pray it moves, I'm trusting and hoping in Abba Father who is able to do all things. It may lead to bleeding, premature birth and some other issues. My husband was so worried, some men no get liver at all na only shakara dem get. I don't think they can go through half of what women go through when it comes to reproductive issues. Amen to your prayer. Lo dey worry o but I no complain, just remaining few weeks to go. It's a girl o, confirmed last week.

It is well with you teamie. God did not bring you this far to leave you alone now. Keep talking to Him, He's more than capable of fixing everything. I have lots of worries too but I convert them to prayers. He is too faithful to fail and He won't fail.

Don't mind our dhs o, fear fear someborries. I don't bother telling my dh everything, cos fear no go gree the man sleep for night. And he no kukuma get body, if he con dey worry, wetin go remain again?

Don't stop talking to God. He can and will fix it.

Congrats and welcome. Cramps without bleeding is normal in early pregnancy. But if it become unbearable, you may want to see your doctor!

I think it is part of the package, I have itchy teary eye coupled with a little swelling under my eye bag but it was detected at the early stage...an eyedrop was prescribed!

So don't self medicate, u need to see a Doc before taking/ using any drugs.

Thanks ma i realy appreciate ur response. I jus took vit c and para. I tink its nt to discomforting again. I wil talk to my doc at my nxt antenatal. Thanks once again
