We are yet to read of a serial killer who uses poison as his MO. Serial killers do what they do to satisfy an innate urge, it'd be a surprise if he let poison do the job.
My opinion is; both pills were harmless, the victim takes the pill and the killer does his job afterwards.

After listening to the cassette tape, the police knew that it was not a suicide.

The window was big enough for him to go through it but too high for anyone to reach it.

The cell was empty.

It had nothing in it, except a shovel.

He had only two days to break out.

How will Jack escape?

He will contact MICHEAL SCOFIELD the first day, and Scofield will break him out the second day. Voila!

If it were to be a suicide, the windows would have been open, but the killer shut the window after throwing him out.

There was no answer.

When he looked into the window, he saw that old man lying in a pool of blood.

When the policemen arrived, they found a newspaper from Tuesday, 2 bottles of warm milk and one cold bottle.

The next day, the killer was arrested.

Who was the killer, and how did the police figure this one out?

The Man was definitely killed by a visitor who tried to covers his tracks by taking the newspapers from Wednesday and Thursday but left his fingers prints on the bottle of one of the milks

both the pill are poisonous, it's obvious the serial killer never takes the drug after the victims has taken there own and die.

You narrate past incidents in past tense which is why most storybooks are written in past tense. Jack did made it cos the wall is 2×2 so all he need do is just dig hole on either side of the wall and keep climbing till he reach window.

Nope ur wrong, the detective can rewind to listen, after the gun shot sound in the recording how come the dead man still have the cassette in his hand definetly he can get hold of that after he shoot himself, had it been no gunshot sound in the recording then its a suicide tin
