Once a Company is established and Registered, it becomes a firm and not just you and for you, therefore you will need an ID card inorder to identify who to you are.
Who rifles it?
The company did and not him, he is representing a particular organisation established by him mentained by the board, therefore he will need an ID card issued by it.

pls i have a question, who are the board of directors?

Depends on the company. In a company like mine, u must have one even as chairman, cos ur ID card is also ur computerized access card to pass through any door or entrance.

Am of the opinion that the Chairman i.e C:E.O need not an Id card, except he also works in the company. If my establishment spreads across the globe, i don't think i need an id.

I Tolu Erinoso, I'm the Chairman/MD of Colemoy™ Enterprise. As the MD, I work as a staff overseeing the day to day activities of the Company. However on my ID card, you would only find the position of MD indicated.

I had an experience related to this question. When I was in Lagos state, I serve my boss who later settled me and I have my own business establishment. So I went and do an I'd card with my company's name because of Nigeria police and their wahala. I have been using this I'd card anytime they stop me and asked wat I do. One day, one policeman started asking me who ratified my I'd card and I was like, do I need someone to ratify my I'd card as d CEO? He said that it is d ppl that registered my company that will ratify it. We argued over this 4 a long time b4 they allow me go after roja. This event happened like 5yrs ago but I'm still using d I'd card without any other questioning like that of that day. So......I don't know how true was d policeman or he just wanted to delay and extort money from me.

Observation: CAC says if the company name includes your first, middle and last name, you don't need to register it. So who ratifies in this case?
