Since january, i ve been strategising to embark on dry season farming of chilli pepper in november. d bad news is people telling me d crop doesnt produce here in d south east. pls comment if u av experience farming pepper in this region.

10 years ago, while working in Enugu and Anambra I was being laughed at for saying cucumber, cabbage and other veggies will do well in the South East.

Go on with your project and prove them wrong, it is even chilli and they are talking, let them wait to see that growing strawberries is possible in Mbano, Obowo,Owerri,Orlu.......it is all about knowledge!

Some people say yellow pepper will grow only in Nsukka. I grew it this year and the harvest was bountifull. Do u have access to a river?

So many great ideas have been shelved due to negative comments. If you have the needed experience, irrigation plan and have done market survey, I will encourage you to go ahead with the project. By God's grace, it will be a success.

actually my farm is located just by d river side. and i intend to do both yellow nd red pepper. thanks to u guys, i av been lifted by ur comments.
