Oh ho! Imagine this man walking toward you on a lonely road, dressed like this and armed with that weapon. Would you think toward him being policeman first or look for the nearest escape route?

There is nothing wrong with an armed policeman out of uniform. There are lots of circumstances that can put him in that situation. What counts is a legal, alternative, visible and credible means of identification which should be made compulsory despite the dresscode. Various security agencies should adapt the use of badges, crests and tags to identify themselves while out in public to prevent unwanted incidences.

If you ran into your doctor at a children's party dressed like a clown that makes him what.... and when you have a chicken bone stuck diwn your throat tell him to get dressed properly before bringing it out.

Know the circumstance first.

Nigeria we hail thee. Nigeria Police officers carry guns in plain clothes, while armed robbers and kidnappers wear full police uniform.

Oga there is everything wrong with a policeman dressed like dat.. If he's dressed like dat simply means he's off duty so what is he doing on a checkpoint with a rifle? Atleast if he had their dirty looking bulletproof vest on it would have been different. In Nigeria here dat is very wrong, anywhere else in d world he'll need to show some identification afta he had been arrested first

According to Olubunmi,a police officer on duty was spotted dressed in casual while on duty.He wrote..

'A Nigerian Police (SARS) need total reform if officer on duty in Port Harcourt can dressed like this with a Gun. Is this proper? Does he not look more like a kidnapper and Armed Robber?'.

Is this right or wrong?

He is on duty and the target for today is to make maybe 50k , how many people that will die at the course of achieving his target is immaterial to him and his criminal colleagues.

Sir, it's the uniform that classifies what he does. The uniform visibly differentiates a soldier, FRSC, NSCDC, Man O War, Vigilante a.k.a yan banga, etc from one another.

There is no difference, the only noticeable difference is that the police are registered and have a uniform.

don't condemn him yet. you never can tell what prompted to that.

so, if it's an armed robbery attack, you expect him to start wearing his uniform before handling a gun
