Prescriptions should only be done by a certified and qualified medical personnel.

We come here to share what we know so other mothers can benefit. But sharing a prescription of drugs for an 8 week old baby is wrong on every level!

It is wrong. You are not suppose to perform home enema on a baby without a go ahead from a doc. You bi doctor/nurse if warm water doesnt help, give your baby little prune juice that works as well.

Did you read her chest? Check her temperature? Is she coughing out mucus that you're prescribing ampiclox? Are you a pediatrician? Who's stone? Which trado-medicine? Drugs are chemical that should never be self medicated without a doc prescription or a pharmacist cos some have side effects.

What you did is wrong and if you can't correct yourself, continue dosing your baby's system with drugs but don't try it on this thread.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with it too though my aim of using warm water in her anus was not because of constipation sha it was simply to avoid it 'bitting' her if I may use that word. Even as adult sometimes, the anus itches. I did it for her from birth to maybe like four months there about if I remember correctly. My baby has not suffered the constipation thing so far sha sha she poos wella. My opinion though.

Let ur baby poop naturally, their system is still very tender for all this....Let it happen naturally.

from 0-7 months my baby pooped every 7 days .i.e once a week. At first, i used to worry but the Dr assured me that as long as she isn't constipated (constipated poop is usually very hard and in pebble form), then I have nothing to worry about.

Also know that babies grunting when pooping doesn't mean that they r constipated, all these things are new to them..they are trying to adapt to new things and it takes time.

My baby would grunt even when she is pooping very soft poop.

So pls stop inducing poop with water in the anus biko!!!

I haven't heard of any Dr prescribing it, but If at all doctors prescribe it, i'm sure it's probably in recurrent severe cases and not just a one off situation.

Sis, water inside through your baby's butt will not avoid constipation if baby is eating constipation causing things. Even 50l gallon of water will not help.

My sisters this competition for baby's growth is real oh. A church member came to visit me when my baby was 6weeks old. She said I should give my baby formula that ebf will not make my baby look fine and chubby and that someone else that did it is suffering cos she did ebf and her baby struggles to eat solid food. She was boosting that at 3months her son was already struggling to eat eba and indomine. I asked her what formula she gives her son she said adult peak milk that the health centre she went to they told them to give any milk they can afford so everyone in her house takes peak including her 6months old baby. I told her it wasn't healthy for her son she said he didn't react to it so its fine. She even argued with me that health centers give Rotavirus that I just wasted my money to give my son at a private clinic. Now she is avoiding me. Me too I dont care. See the child that she said will not look fresh cos he is ebf. 15weeks old. Ignoranmous people
