Well if you intend to use emulators like the android studio emulator you might have little issues

core i5+(CPU processor)
64 bit Os
8GB RAM +
256GB SSD
1TB Harddrive space

Let me give you a secret that has tormented and fustrated the IT career of many. When buying a computer the most influential spec is the cache size. The cache is always within the processor and thus part of the processor spec. Google the processor of your choice computer and check its cache size. Low cache size is around 512 KB and high ones for most personal computers are about 6 MB.
If you get a processor with cache size of 2-3MB, 4-6 GB RAM is ok.
I once saw a 6MB cache laptop(DDR2) that boots Windows 7 like Television.

Watch out for cache. Some core - i5 have low cache.

I just check mine now, but can see 2 cache which is l2 and L3

L2: 256Mb
L3: 3.1Gb

Whats the exact processor model please ? Just paste it here.
For example mine is core i5-2450 [notice the "-2450"] and has 3mb cache.

U dont need a high end computer to code.
I code php/javascript from my hp mini laptop and the results are awesome.
i even did some cool node.js stuff with it some weeks ago.Unless u need to use android studio, go for a laptop with large screen (android studio requires large screen).

All these core i3,i4...i9 effizy is starting to piss me off.
