SERENDIPITY!

My German hustle has being a perfect case of serendipity, as a matter fact my whole life recently as being one.

Nine months ago applied to one random school in Hamburg just for the sake of it, I mean I had a whole lot of other application decisions I was awaiting and this Hamburg application seems not to be so stressful I said. Months went by and reject mails seem to be the other of the day until I gave up on pursuing a Msc this year.
So one faithful morning in the month of June, while reclining on my office chair after another stint in the infamous Apapa traffic, I decided to check the online portal of this school in Hamburg to see if they have also uploaded my reject mail. Behold my admission letter was uploaded to the portal that very morning! I was confused! The rest is history.

Admission June 13th
Interview August 31st
Approval mail September 28th.

Hamburg Deutschland! Ich Komme!

Congrats bro success in Deutschland

Hello, please I’d like your opinion on this:
I wrote my WAEC in 2012. Having gone through daad.de, I’d like to apply to the following schools for a Bachelors degree in Mech. Engine.;
1. BEng in Mechatronics • University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt • Schweinfurt
2. Engineering and Management (BEng) • Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt • Ingolstadt
3. Mechanical Engineering, BSc • Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences • Kleve
4. Mechatronic Systems Engineering, BSc • Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences • Kleve
Fortunately all I need is WAEC and TOEFL sent to Uni assist for evaluation.
I’d like to know the following;
1.) Do you think my chances of getting in for a B.Sc since I wrote WAEC in 2012 are slim? Although I’m 24.
2.) Reviews on the cities the schools are located, based on job opportunities and cost of living
3.) Would it be possible to get a Masters degree in a university having attended a university of applied science?
4.) Am I entitled to student job opportunities while I study?

Thanks in anticipation.

WAEC alone can't give you admission if you don't have first year transcript

Hi guys,

Please can anyone provide me the url of the website where you book appointment for notarization of credentials at the Lagos Embassy?
Or have they stopped booking appointments for that?

Prompt responses will be hugely appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

www.nigeria.diplo.de

I ransacked this site all through yesterday but did not find where to book particularly for certification of documents.

I only found those for short and long visa visits.

Please if you have the exact url, kindly avail.

Thanks again.

By ND, do you mean HND?

Hello House,

I received 3 admissions for MSC program for the winter semester 2017 but lost the 3 due to German embassy here in NG not booking student visa interview date( totally booked out) and I pleaded to these school for deferment of admission into the summer semester 2018. 2 refused and one deferred and has issued another admission letter for the summer semester 2018 to me, I further contacted the German embassy yet again on Monday with the new letter of admission, block account and front page of my IP. Till now, am yet to get a response from them and kinda scared whether I have contacted them too early. Please, one should advice. What do I do?

There's no need to entertain unnecessary fears, you are on track...Probably they've not started issuing interview dates for Summer applicants

Hi. I'm sorry to interfere, I have been searching for yams and plantains at the grocery stores but I'm yet to find any. To be sincere, I can't eat their food here, it's just tasteless. I would be grateful if you can provide details of 'where to shop' and other 'how to adjust guides'.

Dankeschön.

Cc neahyo
Oh I don't like their food too lipsrsealed
For yams and plantains, I actually thought it was hard to get at first but I found it in an Asian store. They even sell cocoyam, yam and red oil. And it's cheap too

Russian store has yams too.
Fish is also cheap in Asian stores compared to german supermarkets
We buy meat directly from the company cause where I live has many meat processing industries around.
But I think you can get cheaper meat in Turkish and Russian stores.
There's what we call Grieß, it's eaten as a substitute for the Nigerian semovita. You can get them it.
Oh before I forget there's also okro in Asian shops

Will modify when I remember some things

Hello my people... It's been quite a while, yeah I know. Na many things cause am, let me leave it at that for now.
I'd like to specially thank everyone who's been contributing on this platform to help others actualise their dreams.
Y'all are too numerous to mention, keep it up... You'll get even more in return.

Special thanks also to everyone who took the the time to answer my queries during this winter semester process, you immensely helped me attain this new reality.

Had my interview on the 10th August, got a reminder to send blocked account confirmation on August 29th, sent confirmation on the 9th/11th September and my AM arrived yesterday morning (29th September).

Frankly, the waiting period can be quite harrowing and disorienting. However, I observed that arming oneself with information from this platform and elsewhere can give one a calming and quietly confident effect.

To those who are looking to apply or get in the process, one thing I can confidently tell you is, 'Information is king!'. Read up as much as you can from this platform and everywhere else necessary, ask not-so-obvious personal questions as it affects you and arm yourself with all the information you can get. I assure that you shall succeed.

Thank you!
