My Dear people, please don't blame me for being impatient oh, in my mind, I am already in Canada and I plan to leave in December or latest January. But you know, final arrangement like sale of property and booking of flight cannot be confidently done unless we see our COPR and stamped passports. So, to help me plan properly, I will appreciate if you will drop how long it took from the day Accra received your passports to the day they you got the mail, informing you that they're ready. We tracked and saw that ours were delivered to Accra on the 22nd of September, 2017. Please how long did yours take? Abby2017: |

Thanks for your response. I need more responses please. I've been very busy. I've practised the Ontario G1 Practice Test so many times, I can recite them in my sleep. Also been doing a lot of other stuff like familiarising myself with requirements upon landing, how to search for home, school etc. I say in my mind, I am already in Ontario. I can even visualise our first home sef. Thanks again. Abby2017: 14 Likes |

It's so sad, the extent people will go to have it all together. I know someone here in Nigeria, telling me his is going to the US with his family in order to take this route to Canada. Nawa o. yokus: |

Wow, this is heartbreaking. Really pray these families find peace in Canada. Makes me really grateful that we have the means to try the legal way. Let's continue to help each other as we have always done. yokus: 10 Likes 1 Share |

Hello all, If one has a sibling who is almost at the stage of getting PPR, when can a principal applicant add her details to get the extra 15 points? 1. As soon as she get PPR email 2. After she lands in canada 3. After she receives her PR card |

labelbybee: It would be after receiving PR card and getting a document like Canadian driver's licence and/or utility bill with their name and a Canadian address indicated on it to prove the ties here. 11 Likes 4 Shares |

yokus: I watched this video on cbc in my hosts house when it aired. See the way all men dey cringe! And to top it up all the people who were interviewed claimed to be "nigerian" and we had white guests. In fact when one woman said her kids were being forced to attend Islamic school only in Nigeria I almost fell off my seat. May God help our country 7 Likes |

Please I have a question for my landed seniors here. How do I go about registering my kids for child care benefits? As an FSW PR are my kids eligible? Please advise. With the high costs of living here and all the taxes I will be paying I don't want to lose any benefits of these taxes oo 2 Likes |

Blackbuddy: Thanks alot @blackbuddy. The husband lives in canada. They are going through the CEC route. I guess its just her PR card that will be outstanding since the utility bill in the husbands name is already in place. What is the time frame for getting PR card after landing? |

@yimiton, I will advice you send them a mail to them while you attach the screenshot of your CIC approval page. Our CIC page was approved in five days but they refused to send PUM until we send a mail to Accra visa office. Lo and behold, it was sent the next day. Thank God, both passports and CoPR are here with us now. yimiton: 5 Likes |

yimiton: laborel: Has your CIC account changed to approved? For mine, I think delivery to Accra and back took about 2 - 3 weeks. I can't remember. But that's the general timeframe. You can book ur flight tickets and do other things, I don't think Accra will request ur passports for them to stamp rejected on it . Calm down, u r almost at the finish line 3 Likes |
