Story, story, story. You goofed big time. That is all. You can try to dig yourself out but you missed it totally that Roy Keane was a footballing genius.

But Iwobi has not been that impressive for us since the Zambia first leg. How about retaining the two Moses to give width to our attack and stretch the Zambian defence(which is weak) Retain the same old midfield trident with Mikel at the tip to thread passes for Ighalo. Hopefully And then bring in Iwobi for Mikel, Aina for Echiejile (which I doubt cos Rohr will want to wrap this up now and give Aina a go during the Algeria match)
just posting two wide-men to provide width does not always work. Their wing-forwards are young and they respond to instruction so they will occupy our wingers so that the fullbacks can maintain shape(which Cameroon lacked because their wing forwards thought they were big boys). I have no problem with any system the coach employs or the players(well maybe except Echejile and that my other guy grin)

Fear God. Fluke to thrash Mali and beat Cote d'Ivoire, the favorites and the hottest talents in the competition.

By the way Keshi failed to qualify for one Nations Cup. Not two. The other was Oliseh that failed.
I dont wanna be seen as being antagonistic of your views but did Oliseh really fail? Save the match that we played in Tanzania where we drew and Chad that pulled out of the qualifiers, I dont really think we have anyone to blame but Siasia. Lets even assume that was siasia's first game in charge, same way it was with Oliseh only that there was gonna be enormous pressure. He drew at home and lost away. So if you ask me, Oliseh never failed. Siasia did!
The excuse that they were not his team is a lame one. We could see how he prosecuted the 2nd leg left a lot to be desired. A make or mar match where he took out i think an attacker for a defender. Bringing in Iwobi late into the match. It was his boys he used in that match and we all saw what happened.

We are talking of football ability that defensive midfielders can play ball.

You goofed big time trying to make it look as if Roy Keane is not a baller. Big time goof. Simple.

Maybe you're related to Dunga or you were privy to watch him when he played in the streets to know he had immeasurable technical abilities that he sacrificed for the team. The Dunga the world saw was a thug. Just like Roy Keane, Diop, Thomas Graveson, Gattuso, Deschamps and the rest skin heads I have over the years watched play the DM role.

There used to be one guy who played for Iwuanyanwu in the 80's and 90's I'm sure Kog45 can remember his name. His only job was to come in and break the leg of the opposition's best player's leg. Guess what position he played? DM of course!

DM's are meant to be strong, powerful and they usually take one for the team. Do you know what it means to take one for the team in this context? That means to kick the opposition when they are threading dangerously to goal.. grin
@bolded, are you referring to Fernando (abi wetin dem dey spell am) of Manchester City? grin

He fits into your illustrations. grin

How many careers did Pirlo or Xavi end with such crunch tackle as exhibited by the footballing genius Roy Keane? You must answer this question oh!

That under pressure is a double edged sword as if if we win this match their whole sudden push will not be rendered flat. Moreover pressure does us good. Makes us pump unlike that SA game where we rested on the oars of history and got whipped.

Please learn that when a player breaks down the opposition, the opposition has the ball. When his team has the ball, the ball, he is not breaking down attacks.

Haba, forgiveness.

Keshi was coach for only one of the matches (against Chad) and we won 2-0. Unless you can get more than 3 points in a match, i don't see how Keshi contributed to the failure of the team to qualify.
Failure na failure no matter how you take fail. grin

Keshi was part of the failure crew. EOD. grin

We know when Siasia was the Super Eagles Coach for the first time, he played beautiful Football but at the end of the day nobody cares to know because failure na failure. grin

Till today Olishe always refer Siasia as d coach that failed Nigeria not him.

Pls take Keshi out of d pictures, though he failed in 2015 after winning 2013 Afcon u called fluke.
Of course, AVB contributed to that success na. After all, he took them to the quarter finals. grin

I guess David Luiz career came to an end after this "tackle". I put it the parenthesis because this is a still image. Sometimes camera angles can exaggerate a situation.

Roy Keane is one of a kind. If that is your definition of a genius. Alex Ferguson spent years trying to replace Roy Keane but he could not. That was why he was desperate for Mikel. He wanted Mikel to fill the void left by Roy Keane.

He also tried Hargreaves but injury did not give Hargreaves the chance. So Keane is one of a kind.

Honestly, I don't know who is better between the sticks hence my choice of Akpeyi.

We are not under pressure to win, they are. So, I presume they will go for early goal to put us under pressure.

So, I think we should defend in the 20 minutes of the first half and see what they're up to.

While defending, we are also counter attacking with rapid speed.

Those Zambians are faster than the Cameroonians.

Okocha relied on skills and not speed. It takes quickness of the feet to pull of tricks but Okocha did not need to out run players to beat them.
