J0hnTrevolt:I hope this is not coming late. It happened to me too. The left is bigger than the right. I noticed it happens mostly to right handed people cos its more convenient breast feeding from the left breast. Since I noticed it I have started putting baby to the right breast and its beginning to measure up with the left one. If she has stopped breast feeding when another baby arrives she should make the smaller breast the favourite 1 Like |

Please is there any thing else apart from water that I can give baby daily to avoid constipation. I try to give her water but she just plays around with it and spits out most of it. Or Is there anything I can add to the water to give it a more encouraging taste. She's finally pooping now and it's hard and she's straining too much |

Good morning mommas. I'm back again (in 9ce's voice) please when can one stArt backing baby with wrapper? Grandma wee soon return home and I need to be effective with chores when it's just bobo and I left. Also this baby peeling issue, when does it stop and what can I do to clear the skin? Arms and legs. Eksbabe; what did you do in bobo's case? Then baby started fussing in his sleep since last week; grunting and making all sort of noise while sleeping. He rarely sleeps quietly for 10 minutes straight; he's restless. Did anyone experience this. |

Backing my mind didn't gree till my baby was 3 months but people start before that sef. No clue about peeling Grunting in sleep sounds like colic, does he wake up crying? Babies outgrow it but some mothers when they can't cope with the grunting give gripe water/nospamin/infacol. Me I waited it out and it stopped the same way it started Sha don't give him agbo. whatever you do goodfortun: 1 Like |

Don't stop giving water sha, my baby suddenly likes water, I hit jackpot with the second sippy cup I bought. Now he actually "asks" for water Sometimes he plays with it but he's drinking more than before Pear juice works. Also try to space the solids...not more than 2 solid meals a day for now, then make it a bit watery Giddyperson: 2 Likes |

goodfortun:Hello, i didnt do anything to my baby's skin when it was peeling. Was told to leave it that way and not to peel it. Eventually, the whole thing cleared off and his real colour came out. I think its a normal thing tho, just wait it out. Also, i was using ori at that time to moisturize his body. But i believe the peeling was just a way of his skin changing colour. I experienced that grunting too, i guess it was colic. It stopped after about 2 days of doing nothing. And then, i laid him on my chest to sleep so i could soothe whenever he was having the pain. I havent started backing my baby just cuz i dont know how to and he is still small for me to place on my back alone lol. 2 Likes |

Giddyperson: I just started giving my DS water last week. He also spits it out or spoils his mouth when he tastes it but yesterday I squeezed half of a whole orange and added it to the water. He gulped the whole 60ml in a twinkling of an eye. His poop was softer afterwards unlike the semi-hard one he poops when he takes apple puree. He clocked 6 months yesterday. I plan on using water melon henceforth so we will be doing oranges once in a while. 2 Likes |

Mama it's called possetting (sp?). It's quite normal. My dd own was so much in the beginning that i was changing her clothes up to 6times in a day but it's reducing now. Try not to lay him down immediately after a feed. Hold him up for about 15minutes before laying him down and make sure he burps. This does not mean he wont still throw up some food but it will be less. eksbabe: 1 Like |

hunniesuzie:thanks. BM supply drastically reduced the four days she was Ill cuz she didn't want bm at all so it was almost like I weaned and started again. Had to give more solids then cuz that was all she wanted and when she got well and wanted to bfeed again, it wasn't filling her cuz the supply had reduced. I'm gradually scaling back on solids now that breast is running well again. I think I'd make the solids three times a day sha cuz she's a foodie. |

Lol, you'll be surprised @ agbo. I've learnt never to assume since I discovered nairaland. My baby never cried cos of colic but he will grunt and squirm in his sleep, the reflux and hiccups are just signs of a developing digestive system. Burp him and keep him upright for a bit after eating before laying him down, he'll outgrow it

JGracious:Thanks I'd try a little orange then, since orange worked, why do you still want to try water melon. I can't even say if my baby likes or hates water. If you take away the bottle, she'd cry. She would keep drinking a whole drum if you keep giving it to her, just that she would keep swishing it around her mouth and finally open her mouth to let it pour out. When you are done with that whole drama, only like half the bottle would be in her belly while the other half would be in her clothes- soaking through her bib. You must change cloth every time you give water. |

goodfortun: Our mothers are soooo good with backing babies even from a week old. I will suggest you start backing your baby before grandma leaves so she can guide you with it. Wearing your baby on the back looks easy when you see others do it but I must confess I had difficulties doing it by myself coupled with my DS that doesn't enjoy backing. He screams each time I back him but when grandma backs him....he stays gentle. I've gotten better with it and I noticed it was the way I was positioning his legs that usually made him scream. The skin peeling will go by itself. There's no need to worry at all. I only kept using coconut oil even up till now. Baby grunting and being restless while sleeping is usually as a result of being gassy. If it is colic, his crying will get him an award. My DS experienced being gassy and won't stop grunting till he's able to pass out the gas. There were times he will let out the gas and will still cry...I guess the farting sound gets him startled. overall, I waited it out for 4months before it stopped. Gripe water did nothing for us when we used it. #sorryformylongepistle 1 Like |
