My honourable cappo thank you for checking up on us. I have not yet registered for antenatal yet but hopefully on monday by God's grace. The only thing worring me is serious hunger every 5mins that's all. At times i dont evn ke say something dey self apart from when hunger start to dey make my body shake up and down like person wey do dry fasting for one month . In all i give God all the glory for i kw that what he has started in our life he will be faithful to complate it in Jesus name, Amen.

About the rhesus factor issue, pls how does this test work? I am rhesus negative but I always straight up take my rhogam after each delivery, for the first I took twice,one at 28wks and the other after delivery. I have never had to do any further testing during pregnancy since I am certified rhesus negative. My doctor thinksi should just the injection straight up since there it's a tiny chance of the baby being rhesus negative.
Pls is there a way this test can give a chance of not take anti-D? As the price is not smiling, I don't know the current price but someone said its 30-40k, I have no idea as I got my last one 2yrs ago for N16,500.
Pls does any one know the current market price?

Hello,the test is just to know if one is sensitized ie if the mothers negative blood has mixed with the baby's positive blood. Ordinarily,baby's blood and that of the mother do not mix except if bleeding occur,during delivery or miscarriage and abortion. During first pregnancy, the baby is assumed safe ie there's no bleeding of any kind. But doctors assume during delivery,there's every possibility of blood mixture,hence the need for the rhogam especially if the baby has a positive blood group. cause if the injection is not administered to a negative mother after 72 hours, she may end up losing prospective pregnancies,if the babies are positive blood group. That's why Drs give it after miscarriage, abortion and delivery. the last rhogam i took was 30k in march this year. But in case where the blood has mixed and the mother sensitized,the test will read positive and Drs will give special Care to the baby to prevent stillbirth and the baby may be delivered early.

Hello ma, during my pregnancy, i had the rhogham shot at 28 weeks and another at 40 weeks ( that's the practice where i live once u are overdue). After having my baby, i notice that i wasnt given and i had to as why cos of d fear of sensitization. I was informed that immediately my son was born, they did his blood group which turned out to be negative as well( sMe blood group as mine) so i did not need it. If ur hospital can have this done after baby is born, then u might just take d 28weeks own and mayb lucky not to take after birth.
