Good day everyone. Thank you for the insightful contributions all around. My questions is with respect to the POF and Deed of Gift.

My sponsor is ready to give me a lump sum and issue a "deed of gift" with necessary documents.

I want to ask if the lump sum should have been paid into my Account immediately i get an ITA and also get the letter written almost immediately or it must have been prepared Six months before ITA?

Thank you for your assistance.
You can receive the lump sum and gift deed any time. It can be few weeks to or before ITA.

You may however do without the gift deed if you've had the money six months prior to ITA, all you'd need do in that instance is to present your six months bank statement.

Can somebody please help me out. My wife wants to apply to WES for her credential evaluation. Her degree certificate bears her maiden name different from the names she bears now. Which name will she be using to apply for transcript from her school? How will IRCC reconcile that? Thanks
She can apply to WES with either of the surnames. It's all fine but if you decide to go with her married surname, there's a tab in the form for maiden name. Her report will be produced bearing both surnames with the new in bracket. Format is; Maiden-Surname (New-Surname) First-Name Second-Name.

Your ECA number will be used to match profile plus both names will be on the report. So, worry not about IRCC reconciling report.

zealog:
Thanks. But her school only know her by her maiden name. Actually the issue appears complicated. Anyone in the house that has encountered this kind of scenario? Your contribution will be highly appreciated.
Its really not complicated. Request for the transcript with her maiden name. Once the transcript gets to WES, her reference number will match the transcript to her profile.

I actually have almost half presently and the remaining half will be deposited as soon as I get ITA, wt Deed of Gift and Affidavits available to back it up. Just bothered if I won't be questioned dat d gift was given just some days to ITA?

IELTS MATERIALS PLS
Bros, please try minimize typing in block letters. It comes as though you are screaming and somewhat puts your readers off. You can pass same message without capitalizing.

Put the bolded in search bar (it's at the top or bottom of this page), you'd see links to downloadable materials. If you read through the thread, invaluable tips abounds. Cheers.

You won't be questioned. Your gift deed should state (among other details) that you're given the money for your relocation plans. So, you actually received it in preparation for that relocation. Your gift deed kind of supersedes the affidavit(s), the gift deed without the affidavits might just be sufficient. Lets wait for others opinion.

Hello house,

On processing my ECA with ICES I was thinking of going with the regular mail option(soft copy I guess) instead of courier so as to keep the extra change.

Will this have any negative impact on me in future? do they require ECA for job application in canada?

Eyin Alagba make una put mouth o.
Regular mail refers to you receiving your report through NIPOST. It's been advised that regular mail be explored as most evaluating bodies sends soft copy of the ECA which suffices for your application. Caution here is that your report may be lost in transit with the regular mail.

I dunno if u have gotten an appropriate response but I dont really know how u got that PCC. I say this because I also did my masters in Malaysi and from CIC website u can only apply for a Malaysian PCC when CIC requests for it cos one of the required docs for the application is the CIC request letter so when ur filling the form post ITA in the PCC section u just state that and move on so when that time reaches they will request for it.

I have come again o. HELP!!! I lived in Malaysia for sometime (School) and left there in 2013 i have collected a PCC that will expire this October can i still use it to submit my PR application. i intend to submit in November. Please HELP!!!

From responses so far, your final review period is unusual. The report should arrive before the 20th, more like any moment from today sef.

Elfmann, come ann see your people ooo.

Why send you to Abuja when you can do in Lagos? And what has time got to do here? Is it that Abuja’s requests gets attended to much faster than Lagos or any other test center? Ayam not understanding.

Good to hear EOR can be requested outside test centers though. @ Cochtrane and GlitteringStar, for the archives.

If you follow their advice, means you have to courier your TRF to Abuja. This advice has prompted me to share this experience I had with BC;

So, because I didn’t decide on time if to rewrite or wait for my remarked result, the test I booked got expired due to nonpayment. I registered on Friday I got the 1st result, the booked slot expired the following Friday.

I got the email notification that my time to pay had expired hence the test slot cancelled. Immediately I got that mail, I did a little digging to see if I could still pay and retain the date. From what I read, seems like they do not receive payment same day in some cases, sometime receive the next or two days later. So, I paid like 15mins after the mail. Bear in mind mail BC sent states I should get in touch through call, mail or visit if I wish to retain my date.

I tried calling but trust BC’s line not to connect, their response on emails when they decide to respond are appalling to me so I didn’t even try emailing. Last option was to visit, being a Friday, I had to get their before 12noon which I did.

The shocker, lady I spoke to said the test date I paid for was filled and I had to do a mail requesting they book me for the next available date but the payment will suffice. By my calculation, result of the next date will be available maybe just a week before I get result from the EOR. Not worth it if I was to take the exams on that date. I told the lady I wasn’t down for any other date apart from the one I had paid for, if me taking on the preferred date was not possible, I’d rather initiate a refund process.

She turned to her colleague and said I wanted a refund, both of them spoke gibberish for few seconds, later worked on her computer (for about 30 seconds) and to my surprise said “it’s been reversed”. I was like what’s reversed, my money? She said no, the cancellation and I should receive a test confirmation before the next Tuesday. In my mind I was like so you can reverse the cancellation within a very short time and with little effort but you’d rather tell me to go write on another day. Telling her my mind wouldn’t add much so I left.

Had I not insisted, she would have made it seems I had no option than to take her unpleasant advice. Much later, some participants on this thread would ask if test dates were retained after cancellation but I couldn’t share this experience then cause of time. I hope this is useful for someone tomorrow.

Thank you all for all your contributions may God continue to bless you. Just a few questions please:
1. Can I get a pcc in Abuja?
2. If I have been in another country for 2years,do I present a pcc from that country?
Please note that my POF is from Nigeria and my work experience is from Nigeria.

Thank you.

1. Yes you can get your pcc from Abuja. The force CID office opposite old CBN Garki 2. They'll take your prints on the fingerprints documents and tell you when to come back for the PCC. I guess they send to Alagbon for processing. It will usually not take up to 1 week. Ask for Fingerprints section; it's the 2nd building on the left. Go with 2 passport photographs and current international passport with 2 copies.

2. If you have been in any country for up to 6 months or more, you MUST provide PCC from that country.

You should worry more about the foreign PCC, most countries take their time to process PCC.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Can you share your profile? IELTS is a great CRS score booster. For Federal Skilled Worker Program, minimum band score of 6 (CLB 7) is required in each ability (LRSW) and the individual band scores is more important than the overall band score.

For the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), there are two different ways through which one can immigrate. The first option is to apply directly to the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program by sending the program an Expression of Interest or EOI. If nominated, the prospective immigrant can then create a new Express Entry profile and import their credentials into the system.

The other option is to begin the Saskatchewan immigration process by creating a new Express Entry profile and formally indicating an interest in the province. Immigration Saskatchewan can then select interested individuals and invite them to apply to the SINP. Once nominated, your Express Entry profile will be immediately credited with your Saskatchewan nomination certificate giving you an additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System. You can then receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada during the next Express Entry draw. (Culled from Canadaexpressentry.org)

Check the Government of Saskatchewan's website for more details ------http://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program
