I got a visa 10months ago for a uncle son's wedding in Houston. I couldn't attend the wedding due to work pressure. Now am ready to go on vacation. Please What are the likely questions I will be asked at point of entry. Thanks

Good evening nairalanders.
Please I intend to travel by the end of this month but when filling my d160 form I use my uncle whom is my USA contact but am going on vacation and wouldn't want to stay in his house cos u would like to book an hotel for my 14days vacation. Hope there will not be any issue in POE.
I don't think so but why did you decided against staying in your uncle's place when that was part of why you got the visa in the first place?

Hello gurus in the house & seyewest, we got a family visa to Houston to travel in this month but we changed our plans to travel next month cos my wife's leave was not approved on time. But unfortunately my brother in law who wanted to host us this month won't be available in November to host us until next year February.
My question is, can we go to visit my friend in Maryland in November who is ready to host us as against my brother in-law we filled in the ds160 or we should just wait till next year that he will be available to host us.
it's a visit visa and you can visit anybody but the problem here is that I hope your friend in Maryland migrated to U.S legally? if the answer is yes just make sure you inform him to be close to his phone and email just in case Immigration want to verify.

Yes he is a green card holder..But my fear is the POE. Won't they ask why we are not going to Houston again. Is my reason tenable?
Yes as far as I know it's tenable... and it's important you don't fidget and look frightened...explain why you're not traveling to Houston again.

Yes you can just make sure you're the one that pack your food and bag... so if they ask you about anything in your bag you can explain it.

Yes it is once its grinded. but me I always have my way with the big ones as I don't blend then.

Just landed on Tuesday via jfk, funny enough I declare maggi cubes and they claimed not to see any maggi I almost taught I left them in Nigeria becos I had to send some things back as my bags were running into 5 bags. on getting to Brooklyn when I was sorting my load low and behold, the maggis they claimed not to have seen were the first set of items I saw when I opened my bag, my bags were not searched just scanned. All my food stuffs were intact nobe was seized I carry almost 3 paint container of egusi, ogbona, I tin of bean, 3 eke garri ijebu fish, jumbo size snails, funny enuf in d state of pandemonium in lagos, I left some of the snails in my hand bag, na so the thing follow me enter America all the way from Lag to Cairo to NYC

Its called PORT of Entry

POINT of Entry

PORT because it could be Airport, seaport etc, any port that brings you to the country's gate.

The VO's always say that

You can visit any time just make sure your purpose of visit is clearly stated when asked and you can explain the change of initial travel plan

All the best
