In proverbs 31, King Lemuel says '' It is not for kings to drink wine or for princes strong drink, Lest they drink and forget the law and pervert the judgement of the afflicted. Give wine to them that are about to perish and to them that be of heavy hearts so that they may drink and forget their poverty.

This is a very deep scripture. In the divine order, Kings are not to drink, Kings are not subject to wine.
Wine is for those that want to perish so they can forget their sorrow, not for children of destiny.

only focusing on nazirite part though
1. they r nazirites different from nazarites
also they are a special group dedicated to God not the ordinary Israelite people
so because nazirites did not drink that does not mean other Israelites didn't drink

plus if you want to use nazirites as a point
you have to agree that Christians shouldn't cut their hair because nazirites did not cut their hair

those quotes are against drunkenness. drinking alcohol and being drunk has 1 major difference and it is called moderation. if alcohol was a sin, Jesus would not have turned water to wine at that wedding or did the poster conveniently forget about that? and he would not have used wine in the last supper. learn the Bible in its entirety.

Bros, even drunkenness is not a sin. The sin is the unholy action you do while in the drunken state.

You are more prone to commit sin during drunkenness.

So both drinking and drunkenness are not sins.
Jesus said when you look at a woman to the point of thinking of having sex with her in your heart, you've sinned.
Drunkenness is an unholy act. It's a sin. Lacking self control is a sin.

There is a different between drinking alcohol and getting drunk.. .is not sin to drink alcohol but it is a sin to drink to stupor or be drunk.....the Bible as not in any way stated that drinking win is a sin but being drunk is a sin

All things are lawful but all are not expedient, sometimes in the interest of our safety.
All things are lawful but all are not expedient, sometimes in the interest of our brother.
All things are lawful but all are not expedient because around us there is a Christless world and men with their poor blind eyes are judging Christ by what they see in his professing people...
Friends, more than liberty is love!

You shot yourself in the foot.

It is not the act of looking at the woman that is a sin, it is the lust or thought of sex with her that is the sin.

Looking at my brothers wife is not a sin but the moment i think how great sex with her is, i have crossed the line. That becomes sin. If looking at women is a sin, we will all be sinners and will be sinning every day and night.

In the same vein, it is not drunkenness that is the sin, it is what you mind thinks and the actions you do that is the sin. We also know that drunkenness leads to a lack of self control which also leads to sin.

Note also that lack of self control is not sin but the influence of lack of self control leads to sin. For eg, you drink beer and get drunk, you get more confidence and approach a prostitute. You dont care about how hungry your children are, you just need sex, you pay any amount to have sex. Sex is the sin but not the act of paying money or drunkenness. Ordinarily, you would not have done that but for the influence of alcohol.

Finally, it is my opinion that alot of Christians are reading the bible out of context including you. You quote a verse to support your opinion but unfortunately the context of the verse you are quoting is different. It means you are guilty of twisting the word of God which in my opinion is wrong but may not be a sin. However it is false proclamation.

If i take my time, i am sure i will come up with 150 places in the Bible where it says a little wine is good for you. Note that most of the places you quoted in the Bible were talking of the dangers of getting drunk...you can drink but drink responsibly and don't get drunk.
you have said it all

10 Reasons Why You Should Not Use Alcohol

Deuteronomy 32:33, Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

Isaiah 28:7, But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

Proverbs 20:1, Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Habakkuk 2:15, Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttest thy bottle to him....

1. Alcohol is a drug.

Ethanol is listed as a psychoactive drug. A psychoactive drug is a chemical substance that crosses the blood–brain barrier and acts primarily upon the central nervous system where it affects brain function, resulting in alterations in perception, mood, consciousness, cognition, and/or behavior. Lupulin is an additional psychoactive drug found in beer. Lupulin is a hypnotic and sedative.

• Most psychoactive drugs are controlled substances in the United States because of their potential for abuse.
• Most psychoactive drugs are issued by prescription of a Medical Doctor.
• Alcohol alters mood, perception, consciousness, cognition, and behavior and creates euphoria.
• Ethanol and Lupulin can be powdered and ingested in capsules, absorbed through the nasal membrane ("snorted"wink, they can also be injected intravenously, or smoked.
• Alcohol's first listed effect is creating a feeling of happiness. This feeling of happiness creates other subtle, psychological changes (feelings of confidence, friendliness, and talkativeness). A person's feeling of alcohol-happiness is artificial and temporary.
• Alcohol is listed as a depressant drug but by altering dosage it can act as a stimulant or a narcotic. It possesses some of the characteristics of a sedative, a hypnotic, an analgesic and a narcotic.
• Alcohol is not a harmless substance it is a powerful mind altering, psychoactive drug. (Ethanol, Lupulin)

2. Alcohol is addictive.

Most psychoactive drugs are illegal to use without a prescription and Doctor's supervision because they are highly addictive. Ethanol and Lupulin are both addictive drugs.

• Alcohol is psychologically addictive. This is a very subtle and dangerous form of addiction. Drinkers unconsciously become dependent on the psychological changes that Alcohol produces (feelings of happiness, sense of well-being, confidence, friendliness, talkativeness).
• Alcohol creates an emotional addiction by altering mood and creating euphoria. The sales gimmick of Bars and Restaurant-bars is to advertise "Happy Hour." Literally hundreds and thousands of people are emotionally addicted to the false "happiness" that is the initial effect of Alcohol.
• Alcohol is physically addictive. In time the body becomes accustomed to metabolizing Alcohol and becomes dependent upon it. Like other drugs, the amount ingested in order to achieve the desired result continually has to increase. This gradually creates a physical addiction.

3. Alcohol is damaging.

• Alcohol damages brain cells, the liver, stomach, esophagus, lungs, and heart.
• Through the blood stream, Alcohol reaches every system of the body.
• Alcohol is physically damaging, emotionally damaging, and psychologically damaging.
• Alcohol is damaging through the addictions it creates.

4. Alcohol is costly.

Billions of dollars are spent each year on:

• Alcohol itself (Fathers and mothers spending hundreds of dollars a month on booze that could provide children's clothing, medicine, food, etc.)
• Lost time at work
• Unemployment (People losing job because of Alcohol use)
• Sicknesses (STD)
• Law enforcement costs
• Deaths, and physical injuries
• Medical costs
• Insurance premiums
• Auto accidents, DWI, DUI
• Legal fines
• Jail

5. Alcohol is dangerous.

There is a risk involved in every single drink consumed because Alcohol impairs and distorts judgment and perception, lowers inhibitions, and slows reaction time. These effects can result in:

• Violence
• Crime
• Automobile accidents and fatalities
• Aberrant sexual and other irrational behavior
• Adultery, fornication
• Birth defects

6. Alcohol is degenerative.

Alcohol lowers inhibitions; silences the conscience; impairs judgment; slows response.

Through Alcohol people can be enticed into:

• Adultery, fornication
• Crime
• Other drug use
• Violence
• Deception
• Aberrant sexual and other irrational behavior

7. Alcohol is wasteful.

Through Alcohol use and abuse people waste their:

• Youth

• Virtue

• Future

• Fortunes

• Health

8. Alcohol is unnecessary.

• There are ways to be happy without drinking.
• There are ways to feel friendly without drinking.
• There are ways to have a good time without drinking.
• There are ways to socialize without drinking.
• Social drinking, moderate drinking, and recreational drinking are all ADDICTIONS. Drinkers cannot have a good time or enjoy themselves or their company without Alcohol.
• These are addictions that make millions of dollars for special interest groups, so they are socially acceptable and politically correct.

9. Alcohol is debilitating.

• The more you use Alcohol to "break the ice"; the more you'll need to use Alcohol to break the ice.
• The more you use Alcohol at "Happy Hour"; the more you'll need Alcohol at "Happy Hour."
• The more you use Alcohol because of the confidence it gives you; the more you will need Alcohol to be confident.
• Alcohol makes dependents. It creates dependencies that are unrealized or denied.

10. Alcohol is deadly.

(Poisons body, Proverbs 23:32) When enough Alcohol is ingested, the human body shuts down and dies. You should not drink a drop of this poison.

At the following blood-alcohol levels death occurs:

• BAC .35 some people die
• BAC .40 more people die
• BAC .80 everyone dies

Add this information to the multiplied deaths due to Alcohol-related auto accidents, murders, rapes, and crimes and it becomes obvious that you should not drink Alcohol.

Are you addicted? Jesus Christ Saves Sinners. He saved me from a life of wasted Alcohol-years. He can do the same for you.

Eternal life is a free gift. Please read the following tract and accept Jesus Christ. He can deliver you from the world's most dangerous drug - Alcohol.

SAMBARRY:
the bible didn't speak against alcohol consumption it spoke against DRUNKENNESS AND OR INTOXICATION

NOTE THAT EVERY OF THE BIBLE VERSE THE OP QUOTED,THERE WAS ONE WORD PROMINENT,CONSISTENT AND REPEATED which the bible was against that is DRUNKENNESS.there's nothing wrong in drinking but there is everything wrong in drinking TO the point of DRUNKENNESS because the DRUNKENNESS itself propels misbehavior and indecent acts

Moreover some of the eateries where you buy cake ,some of the cakes are baked with alcohol.in essence alcohol in itself is not all bad,it's the abuse of it> INTOXICATION that's bad

After all fermented Palestine is called what? wink

Where is palmwine gotten from? wink

Part of God's creation wink
