Yesterday, we reported how Benue Born Catholic Priest Father Gospel Inalegwu, dumped the Catholic Church and Priesthood, a move many thought was caused by the trauma he suffered following his kidnap.

However photos shared by social media user, Shadrack Okpume revealed that the Kano-based Catholic Priest recently got married, shortly after dumping priesthood. He wrote;

“During the week report come in that Rev Fr Godspower Inaelegwu who resigned in Kano got married even before his resignation,also rumour has it that hr actually faked his kidnapp in order to quit the Priesthood , so pathetic and some persons will come and tell me to pray for him, when he himself allowed the devil to use him, accumulating wealth for himself through the Priesthood, rubbish rubbish.
He knew quite alright he wasn’t capable yet he pretended for 11 years in the seminary, its time CBCN ,come up and address this issues ,its becoming so annoying that some hungry men now see the Priesthood as an avenue to make money just as Fr Edet did ,and report coming from his end has it he is also planning to walk down the aile any time soon. Too too bad.”

If this is true, I congratulate him on his marriage.The Bible has never advocated for humans to not marry ]due to a religious "oath". It actually states otherwise...(Gen.2:18).
Of course individuals who feel that they have been called to a life of celibacy...should do so. The apostle Paul was an example...
However, an organization should not dictate that.

This guy has been planning this for a very long time. He has been dating that girl even when he was a priest. Most Catholic seminarians I have met have girlfriends and more sex than most of the population.

This makes me wonder if he was even actually kidnapped or if that was just a ruse to arrange some money for his wedding and to start his life after he disavowed his priesthood. We all know the Catholic church wouldn't have paid him a dime if he resigned like that. So he may have quickly organized this kidnapping to source for cash to start a life and a family after getting disillusioned with the catholic church and he realised a woman's body is far better than getting stuck in a cubicle listening to the confessions of impenitent hypocrites.

This serves the Catholic church right. Allow priests marry una no gree. When they aren't pulling stunts like this, they are sodomizing young boys in their churches. I prefer this to the latter though.
