#Tasmania's skilled #migration program update.

Overseas applicants without a formal #job offer may now be invited to apply for #Subclass190 – #Skilled #Nominated #visa for #Tasmania if their application is consider one of “high calibre” by the State Government. To be consider for this category, applicants must nominate an occupation listed on the Tasmanian Skilled Occupations
Lotta questions to be answered...not just jumping to any and every states. What’s life like in Tasmania? (Un)Employment rate? Cost of living? Etc. It’s a welcome development, however insight into the state will be important too. My thought only.

Good evening house.. I am 37 with BEng in mechanical engineering.. I have worked as qaqc engr and welding Inspector for more than 8yrs. In the skilled occupation list I couldn't find welding Inspector or qaqc. What do I do now.. Is it possible to be assessed as a mechanical engineer?. If yes what minimum point do I need to have to get a positive assessment.. Thanks as i will awaiting good response.

[quote author=Daslimo post=61758219]good day EVERYONE!

i have read through this thread from page 1 till here and i have a few confusions. would really need your assistance
i am a mechanical and production engineering (B.Eng) Graduate with roughly 4 years experience in the field. single, and yet to write IELTS, PTE or TOEFL

1) has the 60-points yardstick been increased to 70?
2) are there points attached to obtaining a B.Eng (Mechanical/ Production)>? (i couldn't find anywhere on AUS website where such was stated) if yes, how many points for a 2.1 holder?
3) i am 28 (30 points),
4 years experience (5 points),
English test (10 points) i am anticipating this at the very least

5) i get paid in cash considering that its a private firm. how do i go about the whole payslip and tax clearance ish?
6) any help or link to an IELTS/PTE test center in Enugu would be appreciated (i am open to possibilities)

i really need help on these issues and would appreciate any link ups available.
email: ugoakpudo@gmail.com
whatsapp: 07065159058

thanks in anticipation

Shey I told u DIBP cam be fast tracked, you see? Around 30days for grant.

I think the DIBP 'fast track' here (after ITA) is as a result of him being in the pool since January. ITA in September (8months).

One thing I infer is that the consideration is based on experience too, even though you meet up the points.

I know if any a professional engineer that lodged his EOI (with 8years of experience) around may and got grant in September.

Among the English tests DIBP accepts are- IELTS, PTE and TOEFL.The maximum point you can get in any of the three is 20points. However, many here have testified that PTE remains the 'easiest' of them.

If you need more information on PTE, please contact me.
